Supported Applications
The Omega FMG90B Series is a magnetic inductive flow sensor designed for measuring water and electrically conductive fluids. The device operates without moving parts and requires liquids with a minimum conductivity of 20 µS/cm. It must not be used as a safety component.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series supports inner diameters from 0.12 in to 0.98 in, with an example range of 0.66 - 13.2 GPM for specific configurations. The maximum process temperature is 140°F. Pressure ratings are defined as Max 145 psi at 68°F and Max 116 psi at 104°F.
Electrical requirements include a power supply of 12...24 VDC ±10%. The output signal is provided via Pulse output (Push-Pull) with a pulse rate of 1,500 pulses/gal. A green LED indicator may blink irregularly if the measuring tube is empty or partially filled, or if fluid conductivity is too low.
Configuration Options
The FMG90B Series offers configurable wetted materials and process connections to accommodate different installation needs.
- Wetted Materials: PTFE lining, EPDM liner, or 316L Stainless Steel are available as model options.
- Process Connections: Variants include NPT and BSP threaded fittings (depicted visually in documentation).
- Electrical Connection: M12x1 coupling socket is standard, with connection cables featuring a molded M12x1 coupling socket available as an option.
- Housing: The device features a black and blue plastic housing.
