Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-DC Series consists of desk consoles intended for indoor use to house electronic and electrical instruments and controls. These operator work stations protect internal components against the introduction of solid foreign objects, falling dirt, and water ingress. The series supports installation in standing or sitting positions, accommodating operator interfaces, control pushbuttons, and selector switches.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The enclosure ratings vary by model configuration to meet specific environmental requirements:

• IS2 Rating (Industry Standard 2): NEMA Type 4, 12, and Type 13; UL Listed Type 4 and 12; CSA Type 4 and 12; IEC 60529 IP 66.
• IS1 Rating (Industry Standard 1): NEMA Type 12 and Type 13; UL Listed Type 12; CSA Type 12; IEC 60529 IP 55.

The standard housing material is 0.075" Thick Carbon Steel, with an ANSI-61 gray powder coating applied inside and out. Optional sub-panels are powder coated white. The series carries a 1 YEAR WARRANTY and holds CSA and UL approvals.

Configuration Options

The SCE-DC Series offers configurable access points, dimensions, and mounting features to suit diverse control panel layouts:

• Access Configurations: Models are available with single or dual door access in both the front and rear of the enclosure. Variants include Single Access (Single Door), Dual Access (Single Door), Single Access (Two Doors), Dual Access Overlapping Two Doors, and Dual Access Two Doors with Center Channel.
• Dimensions: Heights range from 40.25 to 46.25 inches; widths span 25.25 to 59.88 inches; depths are available in 15.5 or 18.5 inches depending on the model.
• Mounting Features: Dual access consoles include mounting studs and channels welded on the sides of the interior body for additional panels. Mounting hardware is included with each sub-panel installation.

Available options and accessories include removable doors with concealed hinges, a removable print pocket, ground studs on both door and body, rubber pads with provisions for leveling pads on the bottom, black quarter-turn latches on top doors, key-locking black 3-point flush swing-handles, and sub-panels of varying sizes (e.g., SCE-30P24 through SCE-60PC36).

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes models by access type, door count, and the presence of center channels. Model numbers follow the pattern SCE-<MODEL>DC, where the numeric code indicates specific dimensions (e.g., SCE-402516SDC). Single Access Two Door models such as SCE-464919SDC and Dual Access Overlapping Two Door models like SCE-464919DC share identical external dimensions but differ in access configuration. The "DCC" suffix denotes the inclusion of a center channel for dual sub-panel mounting.
