Supported Applications

The Omega NCH-37000 Series consists of natural convection enclosure heaters designed for compact installations requiring self-regulating thermal management. Based on PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficients) technology with thermal decoupling, the series provides optimized convective heat transfer without switching components. Documented applications include Cash Points, Ticket Machines, Parking Ticket Terminals, Access Systems, Fuel Dispensers, Portals of Energy, Building-Safety Systems, Building-Management Systems, and Landscaping Systems.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The NCH-37000 Series operates on a universal power supply range of 110 to 240 Vac/Vdc. Rated power output at an ambient temperature of 10°C (50°F) ranges from 30 W to 100 W depending on the specific model selected. The series features rugged aluminium extrusion profiles with an IP20 enclosure rating. External profile temperatures vary by model, ranging approximately from 130°C (266°F) for the 30W unit up to 205°C (401°F) for higher-power variants.

Electrical connections are provided via a silicone connection cable measuring 2 x 0.5 mm² (0.08 x 0.02 in²), with a length of 500 mm (19.7"). Recommended time-delay fuse ratings depend on the power level and supply voltage; for example, the 30W model requires a 4 A/2 A fuse at 240V/110V respectively, while higher wattage models may require up to 6.3 A.

Configuration Options

The series is available in five distinct power configurations within the NCH-3701 model family (e.g., NCH-37017701, NCH-37017801). Key configurable dimensions and performance parameters include:

  • Rated Power at 10°C (50°F): Available in 30 W, 50 W, 60 W, 75 W, or 100 W.
  • Housing Dimensions (L x W x H): Length scales with power output from 65 mm (2.6") to 175 mm (6.9"); width is constant at 70.7 mm (2.8") and height at 24 mm (0.9").
  • Weight: Ranges from 0.13 kg (0.29 lb) for the 30W model to 0.34 kg (0.75 lb) for the 100W model.
  • Mounting Options: Fixing clips allow mounting either at the wide side or at the narrow side of the extrusion profile.

All models include a standard silicone lead and carry CE, RU, RoHS certifications along with a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the NCH-37000 Series are distinguished primarily by rated power output and physical length. The model number suffix indicates the specific wattage configuration:

  • NCH-37017701: 30 W, dimensions 65 x 70.7 x 24 mm (2.6 x 2.8 x 0.9 inch), weight 0.13 kg.
  • NCH-37017801: 50 W, dimensions 95 x 70.7 x 24 mm (3.7 x 2.8 x 0.9 inch), weight 0.14 kg.
  • NCH-37018001: 60 W, dimensions 125 x 70.7 x 24 mm (4.9 x 2.8 x 0.9 inch), weight 0.19 kg.
  • NCH-37018201: 75 W, dimensions 175 x 70.7 x 24 mm (6.9 x 2.8 x 0.9 inch), weight 0.24 kg.
  • NCH-37018401: 100 W, dimensions not explicitly listed in the primary specification row but consistent with series scaling; weight 0.34 kg (0.75 lb).

All variants share identical voltage ranges, cable specifications, and material construction.
