Supported Applications
The Omega PSW-300 Series consists of snap-action pressure switches designed for general industrial pressure control. The series covers measurement ranges from vacuum to 3,000 psi and differential pressures from 5 inH2O to 400 psid. These units are engineered with rugged epoxy-coated NEMA 4X (IP66) watertight enclosures for operation in harsh environments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PSW-300 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -29 to 66°C (-20 to 150°F). Setpoint repeatability is specified as ±1% of range. The series supports proof pressures ranging from 250 psi up to 12,000 psi depending on the specific model and pressure range selected.
Electrical ratings vary by switch configuration:
- Single Switch Models (PSW-3xx): Rated for 10 A at 125/250 Vac, or 0.5 A at 125 Vdc / 0.25 A at 250 Vdc.
- Dual Switch Models (PSW-3xx): Rated for Two 15 A SPDT switches at 125/250 Vac.
The enclosure is constructed from epoxy-coated aluminum with gasketing to achieve the NEMA 4X (IP66) rating. Electrical connection is provided via a 3/4 FNPT conduit hole, while process connections vary by range and material requirements.

- PSW-301 through PSW-311: Single setpoint with adjustable deadband. Features one 10 A SPDT switch.
- PSW-321 through PSW-348: Dual setpoint with fixed deadband. Features two 15 A SPDT switches (wired normally open or normally closed).
Pressure Ranges & Connections
The series supports the following measurement envelopes:- Vacuum to Absolute Pressure: -6 to -30 inHg vac through 600 to 3,000 psi.
- Differential Pressure (PSW-35x/36x): 5 inH2O to 400 psid.
Process connections are configured as follows:
- Vacuum through inH2O ranges: Carbon steel connection material; typically 1/4 FNPT or 1/2 NPT male for vacuum to 600 psi.
- All psi ranges (standard): 316 SS connection material with 1/4 FNPT for higher pressure models (1,000 and 3,000 psi).
Wetted Materials & Options
The standard configuration utilizes a Buna-N diaphragm. Alternative wetted materials are available via ordering suffixes:- -V: FKM diaphragm and O-ring.
- -T: PTFE diaphragm and O-ring.
- -SS: SS (Stainless Steel) diaphragm, available for psi units to 60 psid only.
- -M: Monel® wetted parts, available for psi ranges only.
An additional option provides hermetically sealed switches (-P for single setpoint; -PP for dual setpoint) rated at 5 A 125/250 Vac for severe environments.
Dimensions & Weight
The enclosure dimensions are 153 H x 105 W mm (6 x 4.125 in). Depth varies by unit type: 95 mm D (3.75 in) for psi units and 114 mm D (4.5 in) for inH2O units. The weight is approximately 0.9 kg (2 lb).Key Product Differences
The PSW-300 Series distinguishes between single-setpoint adjustable deadband models and dual-setpoint fixed deadband models based on the model number prefix.- PSW-30x Models: Provide a single SPDT switch with an adjustable reset point (decreasing pressure) and operating point (increasing pressure).
- PSW-32x/34x Models: Provide two independent 15 A SPDT switches. Adjuster A controls the lower setpoint, while Adjuster B controls the higher setpoint.
