Supported Applications
The Omega TPN1 Series consists of flanged immersion heaters designed for tubular heating elements silver brazed or TIG welded to a flange cut from steel or stainless steel plate. These units are suitable for applications including water and water solutions, steam tables, air heating, hot air dryers, dehumidifying dryers, and heat exchange systems.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series features a 3-1/2" Square flange with four 5/16" Dia. holes on a 3-7/8" B.C. The bundle diameter is 2-1/16", and the element diameter is .475" Dia. Element sheath materials are available in Incoloy® 800 or Steel. Watt density varies by model, with documented values of 1.5 W/cm² (9.7 W/in²), 3.7 W/cm² (24 W/in²), 4.2 W/cm² (27 W/in²), and 5.3 W/cm² (34 W/in²). The B dimension, representing element length, is available in sizes of 12⁷/₁₆" (316 mm) or 17⁷/₈" (454 mm).
Configuration Options
The TPN1 series supports custom engineered configurations where flange plate size, thickness, and shape are determined by the application. Standard models include three elements per heater.

Custom engineered heaters can be specified for wattage, voltage and phase, element immersion length, flange size and material, electrical enclosure requirements, element sheath material, and optional features.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the series differ by model number, which encodes specific combinations of voltage/phase, wattage, and B dimension. For example, models TPN01400 through TPN01405 utilize Incoloy® 800 sheaths with varying power ratings from 1.4 KW to 3 KW at a 12⁷/₁₆" element length. Models such as TPN01175, TPN01201, and TPN01406 through TPN01411 offer higher wattages (3.5 KW to 5 KW) with an extended 17⁷/₈" B dimension. Steel sheath options are available in models like TPN01351 and TPN01311, providing alternative material configurations for specific process needs.
