The Omega i-Series is a family of microprocessor-based instruments designed for strain and process measurement. Key Product Differences
The i-Series distinguishes between standard temperature/process models (CNI series) and strain-specific configurations. Strain gage inputs are identified by the "S" in the model number, such as CNIS32xx or CNIS8xx.
- Model Numbering: The general format is CNI<Size><Model><Suffix>. For example, a 1/32 DIN strain meter with relay outputs might be designated CNIS3244. Strain models (CNIS) are distinct from standard temperature/process controllers.
- Suffix Constraints: The "-SM" simplified menu option is not available on CNIS strain models. Ethernet options (-EIT, -C4EIT) are unavailable for CNI8A, CNI8C, CNI16, CNI16A, and CNI32 controllers.
- Power & Excitation: The "-DC", "-C24", and "-C4EIT" options are not available with built-in excitation. Analog output is incompatible with the "-AL" limit alarm version.
