The IP211 models accept a 4-20 mA current signal, while the EP211 models support various DC voltage inputs including 1-5 Vdc, 0-5 Vdc, and 0-10 Vdc. The series is engineered for applications requiring high flow capacity, featuring an integral volume booster capable of up to 12 SCFM minimum flow rate at 100 psig (7 bar) supply pressure.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The IP211/EP211 series operates with a pneumatic output range spanning from low-pressure configurations such as 3 to 15 psig (0.2 to 1.0 bar) up to high-pressure ranges of 3 to 120 psig (0.2 to 8.3 bar). Specific available output ranges include:
- 3 to 15 psig (0.2 to 1.0 bar)
- 3 to 27 psig (0.2 to 1.9 bar)
- 6 to 30 psig (0.4 to 2.1 bar)
- 2 to 60 psig (0.1 to 4.1 bar)
- 3 to 120 psig (0.2 to 8.3 bar)
Performance specifications for the series include a linearity of <1.0% of span (terminal based), repeatability of <0.5% of span, and hysteresis of <1.0% of span. The supply pressure range varies by output model: general units require 3 psig (0.2 bar) above the maximum output up to 120 psig, while specific high-range models such as the 120 psig unit require a supply between 125 and 150 psig (8.6 to 10.4 bar).
For optimal stability, units should be mounted in a vibration-free location or where vibration is isolated in the x and z axes. The device dimensions are specified as 54 x 54 x 101 mm (2 1/8 x 2 1/8 x 4").
Electrical Connections & Calibration
The transducers feature a force balance design with external zero and span adjustments accessible on the front face, except for explosion-proof models. Electrical connections are made via two leads of #18 GA wire (1 ft long), color-coded black (+) and white (-). For direct-acting configurations, connect positive to the black lead; for reverse-acting, connect positive to the white lead.

- FMApproved (Intrinsically Safe): Class I, II, III, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D, E, G. Models include suffixes such as -ISF.
- CSA Approved (Intrinsically Safe): Class I Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II Groups E, F, and G; Class III. Models include suffixes such as -ISC.
Note: Intrinsically safe ratings are not affected by recalibrating for split ranges or reverse-acting applications. FM Approved models require installation in accordance with interconnection diagrams using proper energy limiting barriers.

- General Purpose Models: Standard IP211 and EP211 units without hazardous location suffixes are designed for general industrial environments. These models feature accessible zero and span adjustments on the front face.
- Intrinsically Safe I/P Models (IP211 only): Suffix -ISF denotes FM Approved Intrinsically Safe, while -ISC indicates CSA Approved Intrinsically Safe. These variants are restricted to specific output ranges (e.g., 3-15 psig and 3-27 psig) as listed in the ordering chart.
- Voltage Input Variants: EP211 models differentiate input voltage via suffixes: no suffix typically indicates 1-5 Vdc, -5V indicates 0-5 Vdc, and -10V indicates 0-10 Vdc. Impedance values vary by model; for example, the IP211-X15 has a nominal impedance of 180 Ω, while EP211 models range from 500 Ω to 985 Ω depending on voltage and pressure configuration.
Positions other than vertical mounting will require recalibration of the zero adjustment. All unused ports must be plugged to maintain performance integrity.
