Plasma Emission Detectors

Plasma Emission Detectors are GC detectors that excite the column effluent in a plasma and measure the light emitted by each compound. They reach ppb detection limits for permanent gases and can be added to laboratory or process gas chromatographs. Products in this category include the LDetek PlasmaDetek, the DSP-based PlasmaDetek2 and the heated PlasmaDetek3.

Selective or non-selective optics, argon or helium carrier gas and configurable signal processing let one detector cover ppb to percent concentrations.
