Supported Applications
The GP Series gage pressure transducers are 4 to 20 mA, loop-powered devices built for commercial, industrial, and process-control applications that demand excellent accuracy and reliability. At the heart of each unit is a bulk micro-machined transducer with a stainless steel diaphragm and fully welded construction that contains no O-rings, making the sensor compatible with any gas or liquid compatible with 304L stainless steel.
That robust wetted path suits a broad media list — refrigerants, glycol, motor oil, diesel, hydraulic fluid, brake fluid, water, waste water, hydrogen, nitrogen, and air. Typical applications include refrigeration, fuel cells, pumps, hydraulics, and compressors, where the transducer's fast response and rugged diaphragm hold up to real-world service.
Two sensing types are offered: Gage (psig) models measure pressure relative to the atmosphere, while the Sealed Gage (psis) model references a sealed chamber. Sealed Gage transducers are not vented to atmosphere but are calibrated to deliver 4 mA at 14.5 PSIG so they resemble a standard gauge output. The sensor connects through a ¼"-18 NPT male thread and a Packard connector, with wire harnesses ordered separately.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The GP Series outputs a 4 to 20 mA (2-wire, loop-powered) signal with a response time of < 1 ms. Accuracy — which includes hysteresis, repeatability, and non-linearity (BFSL) — is specified by range at 22°C (71.6°F): < +/- 1.0% FS for 15 to 60 psig, and < +/- 0.5% FS for 75 to 300 psig and for 500 psis.
Electrical and environmental limits include:

The transducer is rated over a wide operating temperature band of -40 to 257°F (-40 to 125°C) and withstands demanding mechanical stress, with vibration endurance across 100 to 2000 Hz (20g sinusoidal, 3 axes) for 144 Hours and thermal shock cycling between 105°C and -40°C. The compact stainless steel body measures 2.60" (66.6 mm) x 0.87" (22.23 mm), with an overall length of 2.77" (70.36 mm) including the connector. The series carries CE, RoHS2, WEEE, and ISO 9001 credentials.
Configuration Options
Model selection turns on three choices: pressure range, sensing type, and whether the transducer is supplied inside a weatherproof enclosure. The bare-transducer GP(<range>)-20-P models provide the sensor with a Packard connector, with an optional NEMA 4 rated weatherproof metal enclosure available. The A/GP(<range>)-20-P-N4 models come already mounted in a NEMA 4 enclosure and are rated NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 (Compare to IP68) for outdoor and washdown environments.
Across both families, ranges span 0-15 psig (103 kPa) up to 0-300 psig (2069 kPa) as Gage sensors, plus a 0-500 psis (3447 kPa) Sealed Gage version. Every model natively provides the 4 to 20 mA output; a 1-5 VDC signal can be obtained with an optional 250 Ohm load resistor, and a 2-10 VDC signal with an optional 500 Ohm load resistor. All models require a harness (ordered separately) and share the 304L stainless steel wetted diaphragm.
Key Product Differences
Each transducer is ordered by its full-scale range, encoded in the model number. The bare GP transducers and the enclosure-mounted A/GP-N4 versions share the same seven ranges:
