Supported Applications
The ACI PTS4-1 Floating Point to Pneumatic Output Transducer converts two digital signals from relay contact closures, transistors, or triac inputs into a proportional pneumatic signal. The series is designed for applications including:

The device utilizes a closed-loop electronic design where an on-board microprocessor measures signal input and a solid-state pressure transducer measures branch line pressure to automatically increase or decrease air pressure.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PTS4-1 operates with a supply voltage of 24 VAC +/-10% at terminals | 50 or 60 Hz. It requires an air supply pressure between 20 psig (138 kPa) minimum and 25 psig (172 kPa) maximum. The pneumatic output changes full scale in 90 Seconds with a resolution of 255 steps.
Accuracy is specified as 2% @ room temperature or 3% @ full range of operating temperature. For models equipped with an optional gauge, the Gauge Pressure Range is 0-30 psig (0-200 kPa) with a Gauge Pressure Accuracy of ± 2.5% Midscale (± 3.5% Full Scale). The unit operates within an ambient temperature range of 35 to 120°F (1.7 to 48.9°C) and humidity from 10 to 95% non-condensing.
In the event of a power failure, both valves close, shutting off main air and branch line bleed. During a power brown-out, pressure output remains constant while the processor shuts down; upon restoration of proper power levels, the processor reboots and defaults the branch pressure output to 0 psig.
Configuration Options
The series supports three jumper-selectable pneumatic output ranges:
- 0-10 psig (0-68.95 kPa)
- 5-15 psig (34.47-103.43 kPa)
- 0-15 psig (0-103.43 kPa)
Pneumatic connections utilize removable brass barbed fittings for Main and Branch in a machined aluminum manifold, compatible with 1/4" O.D. nominal (1/8" I.D.) polyethylene tubing. The unit is furnished with an integral-in-barb 80-100 micron filter (Part # PN004). Electrical connections are made via 90° Pluggable Screw Terminal Blocks accepting wire sizes from 16 AWG to 26 AWG.
