Supported Applications
The Omega OM-ES-020 Ethernet to Serial Device Server converts Ethernet signals to RS232 serial communication. The series is designed for industrial applications requiring network connectivity to serial devices.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The device operates with a power input of 5-30V DC, consuming 0.75-1.06W Typical. It features an Ethernet port connection supporting 10BaseT / 100BaseTX standards and utilizes screw terminal block connections for electrical interfacing.
Status monitoring is provided via LED indicators for power status, network activity, and serial port activity. The unit includes a reset button accessible with an unfolded paperclip.
Configuration Options
The OM-ES-020 series supports multiple mounting configurations to accommodate different installation environments:
- DIN rail mounting via dedicated kit holes
- Wall mounting using provided screw hole locations
The enclosure is constructed from a non-conducting polyamide case. The device ships in 'DHCP Mode' and defaults to IP address 192.168.127.254 within 60 seconds if no DHCP Server is detected.
