Supported Applications
The Omega PGR Series is an all-welded pressure gauge with an integral diaphragm seal, designed for industrial process measurement and control. The diaphragm seal protects the gauge against corrosive or viscous media, making the series suitable for chemical and petrochemical processing plants and other systems that require accurate pressure monitoring.
The all-welded gauge and seal design offers a lower-cost alternative to an individual gauge and diaphragm seal, with reduced potential for leaks. Features include a seamless Bourdon tube, a liquid fillable case, a tamper-resistant design, and a compact size. The wetted parts are 316L stainless steel, allowing the gauge to be used with corrosive or high viscosity fluids, gases, and liquids.
The design and manufacture are backed by ISO 9001 certified corporate quality. As a safety note, misuse of this product may cause explosion and personal injury, so the apparatus installation and operating instructions must be read and understood before use.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PGR Series provides an accuracy of ± 0.5% of span, corresponding to accuracy grade 2A. The case size is 114 mm diameter, and the process connection is a ½ MNPT bottom connection. The seal upper and diaphragm materials are 316L stainless steel, and the system fill type is DC200.
The operating temperature is rated to 143°C. For high temperature applications up to 204°C, use the gauge with the PG-CT2 cooling element (sold separately).
For best results, the pressure gauge should have a full scale pressure such that the operating pressure occurs in the middle half (25 to 75%) of the scale. This keeps the reading in the most accurate portion of the dial and avoids continuous operation at the top of the range.
Configuration Options
Every model in the PGR Series shares the same core construction: a 114 mm diameter case, a ½ MNPT bottom connection, 316L stainless steel wetted materials, DC200 system fill, and an accuracy of ± 0.5% of span (grade 2A). The models differ only in their calibrated full-scale pressure range.
The available spans run from a low range of 0 to 15 PSIG up to a high range of 0 to 3000 PSIG. Selecting a higher-range model shifts the full-scale capability upward while leaving the case size, connection, materials, and accuracy class unchanged. Any of the ranges can be paired with the PG-CT2 cooling element for high temperature service.
