Supported Applications
The Omega SV3300 Series consists of OMEGA-FLO® 2-way, direct-acting solenoid valves designed for general-purpose fluid control. The series is specified for use with Compressed Air, Inert Gas, Water, and Synthetic Oils.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The SV3300 Series operates within a process temperature range of -10 to 137°C (14 to 280°F), limited by FKM sealing material. Maximum operational pressure differential varies by model and coil type, ranging from 0 to 435 psi for AC coils and 0 to 260 psi for DC coils depending on the specific orifice size.
Response times are documented as follows:
- Closing time (AC and DC): 20 to 30 msec approximately
- Opening time (AC): 10 to 20 msec
- Opening time (DC): 20 to 80 msec (depending on orifice and pressure)
The series carries CE certification. Standard equipment is supplied with NEMA 4 electrical enclosures, though the manual notes these are not intended for installation in hazardous environments.
Configuration Options
Valves are available in Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO) configurations across two pipe sizes: 1/8" and 1/4". Orifice sizes range from 1/64" to 7/32", with Cv flow factors spanning 0.10 to 0.63.
Coil options include standard 8 W AC coils, with optional 12 W or 14 W AC and DC coils available for specific voltage requirements:
- Voltage ratings: 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc, 110 to 120 Vac/50-60 Hz, 115 Vac/60 Hz, 220 to 240 Vac/50-60 Hz
- Insulation classes: Class F (up to 154°C / 310°F) and Class H (up to 182°C / 360°F)
- Power consumption: Inrush VA ranges from 25 to 43; Holding VA ranges from 14 to 27 depending on wattage
Electrical connections include a strain-relief connector supplied with each unit. A ½" conduit plug is available as an accessory.
Key Product Differences
The series utilizes brass bodies and stainless steel internal components (Stainless Steel 300 for armature tubes, springs; Stainless Steel 400 for fixed cores and plungers). Sealing material is FKM. The shading ring is copper.
Process connections feature BSP threads; the documentation notes that in most cases, BSP and NPT are interchangeable at these sizes. Dimensions remain consistent across pipe sizes: overall height (A) is 1 3/32", width (B) is 3 1/16", and depth (C) is 1 5/16" for both 1/8" and 1/4" models.
Model numbering follows the pattern: SV3300 - [Normally Closed/Normally Open] - [Pipe Size] - [Orifice Size] - [Cv Flow Factor] - [Coil] - [Operating Pressure]. For example, SV3301 denotes a Normally Closed 1/8" valve with a 1/64" orifice and standard coil.
