Supported Applications
The Omega ON-920TA Series consists of detachable threaded probe assemblies designed for direct installation into vessels where pressure needs to be maintained. These thermistor probes feature a closed-ended body with a connector, allowing the cable to be removed when not required.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series is rated for a maximum process temperature of 100°C (212°F) in standard configurations. Standard thermistors provide an interchangeability tolerance of ±0.2°C over the range of 0 to 70°C. Optional high-stability thermistor elements offer improved interchangeability of ±0.1°C at a maximum working temperature of 75°C (165°F). For these optional sensors, storage and operating temperatures for best stability are specified as -80 to 75°C (-110 to 165°F).
Configuration Options
The ON-920TA Series is configurable across resistance values, cable lengths, connector types, and sensor tolerances.
- Sensor Resistance: Available in five standard resistances at 25°C: 2252 Ω, 3000 Ω, 5000 Ω, 10000 Ω, and 30000 Ω.
- Housing & Wetted Materials: Constructed with a 300 Series Stainless Steel body and sheath. The probe features a 1/8 NPT mounting thread for process connection.
- Cable Options: Standard cable length is 300 mm (12"). Custom lengths are available by adding the required inches to the model number. Cables feature vinyl jacketing and shielding with stripped terminations.
- Connector Types: Models include a detachable cable; an optional phone plug connector is added via the "-PP" suffix.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the series differ primarily by thermistor resistance, interchangeability class, and physical configuration options. Standard models (e.g., ON-920TA-44004 through 44008) utilize ±0.2°C tolerance sensors rated to 100°C (212°F). Models utilizing the optional high-stability thermistors (part numbers 44030, 44031, 44032, 44033, and 44034) provide ±0.1°C interchangeability but are limited to a maximum working temperature of 75°C (165°F). The model number structure allows for the specification of cable length in inches appended directly after the resistance code, with an optional "-PP" suffix added at the end for phone plug connectors.
