Supported Applications

The Omega PGP Series consists of commercial panel pressure gauges designed for instrument panels, air conditioning equipment, air and gas dryers, machine tools, air compressors, and pressure test stands. These U-clamp mount gauges feature a durable design intended for general industrial use where shock, pulsation, and vibration resistance are required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PGP series measures pressure across ranges from vacuum through 400 psi. Accuracy is specified as 3-2-3% (3% first 10%, 2% middle 80%, 3% last 10%). The gauges are rated for a maximum ambient operating temperature of 66°C (150°F). Wetted materials include a bronze Bourdon tube and brass fitting. To prevent misapplication, the series documentation notes that all gauge components should be chosen with consideration for specific media and ambient conditions.

Configuration Options

The PGP-25B model family is configured as a 2½" dial size (63.5 mm) panel mount gauge with back connection. The series supports the following measurement ranges via range code selection:

• Vacuum only: 30/0 inHg vac
• Compound vacuum to pressure: 30 inHg vac to 15 psi, 30 inHg vac to 30 psi, 30 inHg vac to 60 psi, 30 inHg vac to 100 psi, and 30 inHg vac to 300 psi
• Pressure only: 0 to 15 psi, 0 to 30 psi, 0 to 60 psi, 0 to 100 psi, 0 to 160 psi, 0 to 200 psi, 0 to 300 psi, and 0 to 400 psi

Construction features include a painted steel case with a polycarbonate plastic window. The movement is spring-suspended for shock resistance and includes ultrasonically cleaned parts lubricated with silicone oil. Process connection utilizes a ¼ NPT brass fitting.

The PGP series is offered in the single dial size of 63.5 mm (2½"). Model numbers follow the format PGP-25B-[RANGE CODE], where the suffix corresponds to the specific pressure range selected from the available options listed above.
