Supported Applications
The Omega HTC Series Fiberglass Heater Cords are designed for use on small-diameter tubes, vessels, or wherever space is limited. These heating cords can be wrapped around tubing as small as 3.2 mm (1/8") diameter. The double-braided fiberglass outer sheath ensures durability for laboratory, production, or maintenance applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The HTC Series features a maximum exposure temperature of 482°C (900°F). Constructed with high-quality resistance wire and braided insulation, the series is engineered to provide long life and high performance. The heating element section has a width of 230 mm (9") as shown in diagrams.
Operational safety requires that the heater be connected to an external control device; it must not be operated without some form of temperature control. Users should ensure the heater is protected by a properly sized circuit breaker or fuse, and use of a ground fault circuit interrupter is highly recommended. The series carries a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.
Configuration Options
The HTC Series offers configurable lengths to accommodate different heating requirements. All models utilize a separable molded plug for electrical connection.
- HTC-030: Heating cord 0.9 m (3'), 64 W, 120V
- HTC-060: Heating cord 1.8 m (6'), 125 W, 120V
- HTC-120: Heating cord 3.6 m (12'), 260 W, 120V
The series supports a portable thermocouple temperature controller option: CN-TOT-175JF-120V.

Variants within the HTC Series differ primarily by length and wattage, while maintaining consistent voltage (120 Vac) and sheath material. The model number guide follows the format HTC-<Length Code>, corresponding to lengths of 3 feet, 6 feet, or 12 feet.
Installation requires fastening the heater to a device using approved methods only, such as aluminum tape, fiberglass tape, or mechanical clamping devices that will not cause damage. The heating tape must not be kinked, twisted, or allowed to hang free from the surface, and overlapping of the tape on itself is prohibited.
