Supported Applications

The Omega PX600 Series consists of subminiature, flush diaphragm pressure transducers designed for industrial environments. These units feature all stainless steel construction and a rugged case to withstand demanding conditions.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series offers measurement ranges from 0 to 200 psig (0 to 13.8 bar) up to 0 to 10,000 psig (0 to 689 bar). Accuracy is specified as ±1% FS (linearity and hysteresis combined), with a repeatability of ±0.1% FS.

Performance parameters include:

  • Operating Temperature Range: -54 to 121°C (-65 to 250°F)
  • Compensated Temperature Range: 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F)
  • Thermal Zero Effect: <±0.018% full scale/°C
  • Thermal Sensitivity Effect: ±0.036% reading/°C
  • Proof Pressure: 150% range
  • Burst Pressure: 400% range

The transducers require a standard 5 Vdc regulated power supply (Excitation: 5 Vdc @ 15 mA). The typical output is 10 mV at 5 Vdc, with a nominal sensitivity of 2 mV/V. Input and Output Resistance are both 350 Ω min.

Configuration Options

The PX600 Series supports multiple pressure ranges configured via specific model numbers (e.g., PX600-200GV, PX600-1KGV). The series includes the following configurable and fixed attributes:

  • Process Connection: 3/8-24 thread
  • Wetted Materials: Body and diaphragm are constructed of 17-4 PH stainless steel; O-rings are FKM (standard) or Polyvinyl (option).
  • Housing Material: Stainless Steel
  • Electrical Connection: 4-conductor cable
  • Dimensions: Overall length of 0.67 in (17 mm); body and diaphragm diameter of 0.44 in (11 mm).
  • Approvals/Certifications: NIST Standard, CE, RoHS

The series comes complete with a 5-point calibration and FKM O-rings. Compatible meters include the DP41-S**, DP25B-S**, and DP87** (note: meter excitation voltage requires field adjustment by customer to 5 Vdc).

Options & Accessories

  • 2-011-P: Polyvinyl O-rings, 10 pack
  • 2-011-V: FKM O-rings, 10 pack

Key Product Differences

Variants within the PX600 Series are distinguished by their pressure range and corresponding model suffix. The standard ordering format is PX600-<RANGE>GV. Available ranges include:

  • 0 to 200 psig (PX600-200GV)
  • 0 to 500 psig (PX600-500GV)
  • 0 to 1,000 psig (PX600-1KGV)
  • 0 to 2,000 psig (PX600-2KGV)
  • 0 to 3,000 psig (PX600-3KGV)
  • 0 to 5,000 psig (PX600-5KGV)
  • 0 to 10,000 psig (PX600-10KGV)

The series also includes PXM600MU variants with specific range codes such as -35BARGV and -700BARGV.
