Supported Applications

The Omega RH87 is a multifunctional environmental meter designed to measure temperature, relative humidity, sound level (dB), luminance (Lux), wind speed, and air flow. The device combines the functions of a hygrometer, thermometer, sound level meter, luxmeter, and anemometer into a single handheld unit.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The RH87 operates within specific environmental limits to ensure measurement integrity:

  • Ambient Operating Temperature: 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F)
  • Storage Temperature: -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F)
  • Humidity Rating: 0% to 95% RH (non-condensing)

Performance specifications for the measurement parameters are as follows:

  • Temperature Range & Accuracy: -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F) with ±0.5°C (±0.9°F)
  • Humidity Range & Accuracy: 0% to 100% RH with ±3% RH; response time is 5 seconds
  • Sound Level Range & Accuracy: 30 to 130 dB with ±1.5 dB
  • Luminance Range & Accuracy: 0 to 60,000 Lux with ±5% of reading
  • Wind Speed/Air Flow Range & Accuracy: 0 to 30 m/s (0 to 108 km/h, 0 to 60 ft/min, 0 to 56 knots) with ±3% of reading; air flow includes area settings from 0.01 to 2.6 sq. ft.

Resolution values are 0.1°C (0.1°F) for temperature, 0.1% RH for humidity, 0.1 dB for sound level, 1 Lux for luminance, and 0.1 m/s for wind speed and air flow.

Configuration Options

The series is offered as a complete kit with the following features and accessories:

  • Display & Interface: Large LCD with backlight, data hold function, auto-ranging, MAX/MIN/AVG/DIF (MIN-MAX) value display, low battery indication, and auto/manual power off.
  • Power Supply: 9V 6F22 battery
  • Included Accessories: Windbreak, operating manual, tripod with connector, durable storage case, and a 9V 6F22 battery.
  • Certifications: CE (Complies with EMC Directive) and ISO 9001 Certified (Stamford, CT and Manchester, UK).

The device includes calculation tables for circular free area in sq. ft. based on diameter, and rectangular free area in sq. ft. based on height and width dimensions.

Key Product Differences

The RH87-Series is currently represented by a single model configuration (RH87). The bundle does not document alternative housing styles, sensor element options, or output signal variations for this series code.

NIST Certified? Comes with Certificate of calibration (COC)? Where to send to for annual certification/ or calibration?. What kind of calibration do you provide? Can we have more T&RH calibration data points .

Asked by: Amador Natividad
How much does it cos t for proof of calibration? Because it needs to be calibrated.
