Supported Applications
The ACI NO2 Room Series is designed for the continuous monitoring of nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) levels, specifically targeting vehicle exhaust in non-hazardous areas. The series utilizes a wide spectrum electrochemical sensor to measure environmental concentrations within indoor spaces.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The NO2 Room Series operates across an ambient temperature range of -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C) and supports humidity levels from 15% to 90% RH continuous (non-condensing), with intermittent tolerance up to 99% RH. The factory-set measurement range is 0 to 6 ppm, which is field adjustable to a maximum of 0 to 10 ppm.
Performance specifications include an accuracy of +/- 2.5% of Reading and repeatability of +/- 1% of Reading. The response time is less than 60 seconds for 90% of a step change. Operating pressure must be maintained at atmospheric +/- 10%. For installations above 3,000 feet elevation, the transmitters require verification for accuracy and recalibration as needed after installation.
Configuration Options
The series is housed in a standard NEMA 1 rated enclosure constructed from Polycarbonate/ABS Blend. The unit dimensions are (H) 6.00" (152.4 mm) x (W) 3.5" (88.9 mm) x (D) 1.09" (27.87 mm), with a weight of 0.62 lbs (281.2 g). Power is supplied via 24 VAC +/- 10% Floating, 24 VAC +/- 10% One side Grounded, or 24 VDC.
Configuration options and features include:
- Analog Outputs: Jumper selectable between Analog 4-20 mA or 2-10V DC linear signals. Power wiring requires 16 to 26 AWG (0.2 to 1.00 mm²) Shielded Twisted Pair.
- Display and Indicators: Available with an alphanumeric, 2-line x 8-digit LCD display and two Red LEDs for relay status.
- Relay Outputs (Optional): Two SPDT Form C dry contact relays rated at 1A @ 30 VDC or 0.5A @ 125 VAC resistive load, with a life expectancy of 200,000 cycles minimum.
- Buzzer (Optional): Integrated buzzer rating of 85 dB at one foot.
- Time Delays: Configurable actuation and de-actuation delays from 0 to 60 minutes in 5-minute increments.
- Sensor Life: Electrochemical sensor life is rated for 2–3 years under normal conditions, with a unit shelf life of 6 months from the date of purchase.
The series supports mounting heights between 6 to 18 inches above the floor and covers an area up to 7500 sq. ft (49' radius). Accessories include Calibration Adapter (Model # 83830-020-000), Replacement NO₂ Sensing Element (Model # 6300-0035), and a Gas Cal Kit.
Key Product Differences
The series is offered in two primary configurations:
- NO2-R: Standard Room Mount with the standard room enclosure, providing analog output without integrated display or relays.
- NO2-R-RB-D: NO₂ Room Mount equipped with an LCD Display, two SPDT Relays, and a Buzzer within the standard room enclosure.
The series is not compatible with Q4C II, M-Controller2, or Q-Controller systems. Modbus RTU communication is also not supported by this product line.
