Supported Applications
The ACI Nickel Wall Plate Series is a single-point temperature sensor designed for use with electronic controllers in commercial heating and cooling building management systems. These sensors monitor ambient air temperatures within a space, providing protection and security through their wall-mounted design.
Operating Conditions & Performance
This series operates across an ambient and storage temperature range of -40 to 71°C (-40 to 160°F) with humidity ratings from 10 to 95% RH, non-condensing. The sensor element is a Nickel RTD (PTC) conforming to Din Standard 43760 with a Temperature Coefficient of 6370 ppm/°C over the 0-100°C range.
- Sensor Output: 1000 Ohms nominal at 21.1°C (70°F)
- Response Time: 25 Seconds nominal for a 63% step change
- Self-Heating: 0.3°C/mW in still air; Maximum Operating Current is 5 mA

Configuration Options
The series is configured with two non-polarity sensitive, 14" (35.56cm) long leads using 22 AWG (0.65mm) silver-plated copper conductors insulated with Etched Teflon (PTFE). The lead wire rating is MIL-W-16878/4 (Type E), and the wires are color-coded Red/Red.

Mounting and Accessories
The plates are designed to mount over a standard single gang junction box or directly into drywall using anchors. A foam pad made of Cross-Linked Polyethylene (FMVSS-302 flammability rating) is included to insulate the sensor from thermal drafts within the wall.
