Operating Conditions & Performance
The WT4401 series features a 12 A motor adjustable from 0 RPM to 10,000 RPM. Flow rate performance varies by configuration and the use of restrictive plates:
- No restrictive plate used: 1000 fpm to 7500 fpm (accuracy: 1 % reading)
- Restrictive Plate A used: 250 fpm to 1500 fpm (accuracy: 2 % reading)
- Restrictive Plate B used: 25 fpm to 300 fpm (accuracy: 2 % reading)
The series supports a broader documented range of 25 FPM to 9000 FPM (0.15 to 45 m/s) when utilizing the full set of restrictive plates and configurations as detailed in calibration sheets. Each unit is supplied with NIST traceable certificates.

Installation Notes
The manual advises against using the wind tunnel in small rooms with less than 1,800 cubic feet. Intake and exhaust should be located away from open windows, doorways, or corridors where people are walking to minimize room air currents.
Configuration Options
The series is available in two primary configurations: the standard electronics box (WT4401-S) and the deluxe electronics box (WT4401-D). Both models include a differential pressure monitor, motor controller, silicone tubing, brass compression fittings with Teflon ferrules, and calibration report sheets.
