Supported Applications
The Omega WSB-8000 series consists of benchtop electronic weighing scales designed for classroom or laboratory use. These portable table top scales feature a large stainless steel tray and are intended for stable surface applications where leveling is required.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series offers four distinct capacity ranges with corresponding resolution values:
- WSB-8015: 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) capacity, 0.1 g (0.004 oz) division
- WSB-8030: 3 kg (6.6 lb) capacity, 0.2 g (0.007 oz) division
- WSB-8060: 6 kg (13.2 lb) capacity, 0.5 g (0.017 oz) division
- WSB-8150: 15 kg (33 lb) capacity, 1 g (0.035 oz) division
The scales feature a 6-digit LCD display with backlight and include overload protection for the load cell. Power is supplied by an internal rechargeable battery rated at 6 Vdc/4.5 A or via an included 110 Vac power cord. Battery life exceeds 150 hours when fully charged.
Configuration Options
The WSB-8000 series includes the following standard features and options:
- Housing & Tray: Stainless steel tray with overall platter dimensions of 260 x 205 mm (10 x 8").
- Display & Interface: Black LCD display, 25.4 mm (1") H; RS232 interface compatible with Windows® software and cable.
- Functional Features: Auto calibration, audible beep alert upon reaching preset target weight, low-battery indicator lamp, and charging status signal (red during charge, green when fully charged).
- Power & Accessories: Includes 1.8 m (6') communication cables, Windows software, rechargeable battery, power cord, and operator's manual.
The scales are CE certified and carry a 1 YEAR WARRANTY. The product is manufactured in Taiwan.

Currently the scale using lead acid battery. While mine, the battery has degraded after 2 years. Is there any unleaded battery compatible for This scale such as lithium type?I saw some on the market but afraid the charging characteristic may cause issue

What is the sample rate? Can / How it be adjusted?

Thank you for contacting Omega engineering, we do not have the sampling rate spec for this device, but these are rated only for steady static forces. This will not work for dynamic applications or fast response applications
