Supported Applications
The Series DW-WIFI Wireless Wi-Fi Data Logger measures and records temperature and/or humidity and shares the data with any PC or server on the same Wi-Fi network. Because readings are pushed over the wireless network rather than retrieved by hand, the loggers suit distributed monitoring across warehouses, cold storage, server rooms, laboratories, greenhouses, and building-management points where a technician cannot easily reach every device.
Each logger stores up to 1,000,000 readings, and if the Wi-Fi connection is lost the sensor continues to store records until communication with the network is restored, so no data is dropped during an outage. The downloadable Windows-based software lets users set high and low alarms, the sampling rate, and the temperature scale, making the series appropriate for compliance logging and unattended long-term surveys. With internal, remote-probe, and thermocouple inputs available across the line, a single family can cover ambient room monitoring as well as immersion or high-temperature process points.
Operating Conditions & Performance
Measurement range depends on the input. The internal-temperature and internal temperature/humidity models operate over -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C), and the humidity-equipped models add 0 to 100% RH. The remote-probe models extend to -40 to 257°F (-40 to 125°C), while the thermocouple model reads 32 to 752°F (0 to 400°C) with its supplied K-type thermocouple and a probe-dependent full range of -454 to 2372°F (-270 to 1300°C).
Typical temperature accuracy is quoted by model and temperature band. The standard internal logger is ±1.0°F (±0.5°C) @ 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C) and ±0.6°F (±0.3°C) @ 41 to 140°F (5 to 60°C); the remote-probe model is ±1.2°F (±0.6°C) @ 14 to 158°F (-10 to 70°C); and the thermocouple model is ±3.0°F (1.5°C). The high-accuracy (HA) variants tighten this considerably, reaching ±0.2°F (±0.1°C) @ 14 to 140°F (-10 to 60°C) on the internal HA logger. Humidity accuracy is ±2.5% RH, specified from 20 to 80% RH on the standard humidity model and from 10 to 90% RH on the HA humidity model.
Display resolution is 0.1°F (0.1°C) on most models, 0.5°F (0.5°C) on the internal temperature/humidity models, and as fine as 0.01°F (0.01°C) on the temperature-only and remote-probe HA models; humidity resolution is 1.0% RH. Power is drawn from a factory-replaceable 3.7 V rechargeable lithium-ion battery, charged over the supplied USB cable, with a 4.5 to 5.5 VDC supply during charging. The loggers carry CE and RoHS.
The logger arrives partially charged and should be charged for 24 hours before first use for maximum performance. The Series DW-WIFI is not field serviceable and should be returned if repair is needed; if the battery must be replaced it is required that it be sent to the factory.
Configuration Options
The seven models differ by input type and by whether they carry the high-accuracy sensor:
- DW-WIFI-T and DW-WIFI-T-HA use an internal temperature sensor; the HA version delivers substantially tighter accuracy and finer 0.01°F (0.01°C) resolution.
- DW-WIFI-TH and DW-WIFI-TH-HA add an internal humidity sensor for combined temperature and humidity logging, with the HA version improving both temperature and humidity accuracy.
- DW-WIFI-TP and DW-WIFI-TP-HA use a remote temperature probe that reaches -40 to 257°F (-40 to 125°C), on an 11.8” (30 cm) lead, suiting immersion and hard-to-reach points.
- DW-WIFI-TC accepts a remote thermocouple for the widest span in the series and ships with a 59” (150 cm) K-type thermocouple.
All models record continuously, transmit at a user-selected interval, and support programmable high/low alarms. Memory is 1,000,000 readings, or 500,000 each for the temperature/humidity models that log two channels.
