Supported Applications

The OM-CP-ETR101A-KIT is a complete Thermocouple Temperature Data Logging System with a waterproof NEMA 4 (IP65) enclosure and remote probe. The kit includes a data logger, the waterproof enclosure, a Type K thermocouple probe, a USB interface cable, and Windows software.

It is designed for outdoor applications such as profiling exhaust gas temperatures of vehicles including tractors, buses, and trucks. The waterproof enclosure lets the system be deployed in wet or exposed locations, while the remote Type K thermocouple reaches high-temperature points away from the protected logger body.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The system logs on two channels. The internal channel covers -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) with a calibrated accuracy of ±0.25°C (±0.45°F) and a resolution of 0.1°C (0.18°F). The remote Type K thermocouple channel covers -270 to 1070°C (-454 to 1958°F) with an accuracy of ±2.0°C (24 AWG wire) and a resolution of 0.1°C.

The remote probe connects through a Female subminiature (SMP) connector and measures 153 mm (6") long by 3.2 mm (1/8") in diameter. Data is stored in non-volatile solid state memory, and start modes include immediate start, delay start up to 18 months, and multiple pushbutton start/stop. The complete kit weighs 425 g (15 oz) and carries CE, with an optional NIST calibration certificate.

Note: use of the stainless steel braided thermocouple may allow water to wick in through the cable and cause damage to the data logger.

Configuration Options

The series is supplied as a single, fully assembled system configuration, the OM-CP-ETR101A-KIT. Every kit provides the same waterproof NEMA 4 (IP65) enclosure, Type K remote probe, dual-channel logging, and USB software workflow, so there are no differing logger grades within the series.

The only ordering choice is certification: the system can be supplied with a NIST calibration certificate as the OM-CP-ETR101A-KIT-CERT. Field serviceability is supported through defined replacement parts — the OM-CP-BAT105 replacement 3.6V lithium battery, the TJ36-CASS-18U-6-SMPW-M spare Type K thermocouple, the OM-CP-WATERBOX101A replacement enclosure, and the SSLK-18-14 compression fitting.
