The Omega TCV-M12 series consists of vacuum thermocouple assemblies designed for vacuum applications. These probes feature ISO 2861 KF style flanges in standard sizes #25 and #40, providing a process connection suitable for high-vacuum environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports thermocouple temperature measurement with Special Limits of Error accuracy. Measurement ranges vary by sensor type:

  • Type K: -200 to 900 °C (-328 to 1652 °F)
  • Type E: -200 to 900 °C (-328 to 1652 °F)
  • Type T: -200 to 400 °C (-328 to 752 °F)

Accuracy specifications above 0 °C are defined as:

  • Type K: 2.2 °C or 0.75 whichever is greater
  • Type E: 1.7 °C or 0.5 whichever is greater
  • Type T: 1.0 °C or 0.75 whichever is greater

The probe sheath and wetted materials are constructed from 304 Stainless Steel with a standard diameter of 1/4 ". The electrical connection utilizes an M12 Connector with Thermocouple Pins.

Configuration Options

The TCV-M12 series is configurable across several dimensions to meet specific installation requirements. Model numbers follow the format TCV-(*)(**)-(***)-[Flange]-M12, where:

  • (*) Thermocouple Type: Specify "K", "T", or "E".
  • (**) Junction Style: Select "G" for grounded or "U" for ungrounded junctions.
  • (***) Probe Length: Standard lengths include 3, 6, and 12 inches. Custom lengths are available; indicate the required length in inches (e.g., "0950" = 9 ½").
  • [Flange]: Select #25 or #40 KF style flanges.

Additional options include single or dual thermocouple construction. The series supports optional cable assemblies, including the M12CFM-TTJ24S-RFSR-FL and M12C-SIL-K-S-F-1.5 extension cables.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the TCV-M12 series differ primarily by thermocouple type, junction configuration, probe length, and flange size. The model number explicitly identifies these distinctions:

  • Junction Configuration: Models with "G" in the second position feature a grounded junction; models with "U" feature an ungrounded junction.
  • Flange Size: Model numbers ending in "-25-M12" utilize a #25 KF flange (40 mm A Dia, 26.2 mm B Dia), while those ending in "-40-M12" use a #40 KF flange (50 mm A Dia, 41.2 mm B Dia).
  • Probe Length: The numeric segment indicates the insertion length in inches; for example, "0300" denotes 3", and "1200" denotes 12".
