Supported Applications

The OMEGA UW Series UWTC-REC4 is a wireless DIN rail receiver that provides 4 analog outputs and alarms. It works with up to 48 wireless transmitters, including thermocouple, RTD, humidity, infrared, pH and process voltage/current types, receiving their signals over a 2.4 GHz ISM-band radio link and converting them into wired signals for a control system.

Each unit provides four independent analog outputs and programmable alarms per channel, and interfaces directly with PLCs, chart recorders and data loggers through USB and screw terminals. Mounted on a DIN rail in a plastic housing, it acts as the wired bridge between a group of battery-powered wireless sensors and factory-floor control and logging equipment. Included TC Central software supports configuration and data logging.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The UWTC-REC4 provides four analog outputs configured as 0 to 5 Vdc, 0 to 10 Vdc or 4 to 20 mA, with alarms assignable per channel. It is powered from 12 to 24 Vdc @ 250 mA and can be driven directly by the PLC or data logger when that supply is available; otherwise the iDRN-PS-1000 power supply is used, which can power up to 3 UWTC-REC4 units.

The receiver operates over an ambient range of 0 to 55°C (32 to 131°F) at up to 90% RH and mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. It measures 93 high by 39 wide by 125 mm deep. Because of transmission-frequency regulations, the product may only be used in the US, Canada, Europe and China.

Configuration Options

All three UWTC-REC4 models share the same four-channel wireless reception, four-output-plus-alarm architecture, DIN rail housing and USB interface; they differ only in the type of analog output fitted to those four channels.

• UWTC-REC4-MA: four 4 to 20 mA current outputs.
• UWTC-REC4-V1: four 0 to 5 Vdc voltage outputs.
• UWTC-REC4-V2: four 0 to 10 Vdc voltage outputs.

Because each variant is defined by its output type, the choice is driven by the input requirements of the receiving PLC, recorder or logger rather than by any change in wireless capability.

Part numbers follow the pattern UWTC-REC4-<Analog Output Type>, so the lineup is set entirely by the analog output selection:

• UWTC-REC4-MA for a 4 to 20 mA output.
• UWTC-REC4-V1 for a 0 to 5 Vdc output.
• UWTC-REC4-V2 for a 0 to 10 Vdc output.

The receiver is supported by accessories including the iDRN-PS-1000 power supply, the RAIL-35-1 and RAIL-35-2 DIN rails, and the HE-XE102 programmable logic controller, all sold separately, with TC Central software included.
