Supported Applications
The Series SBLTX Submersible Level Transmitter is a piezoresistive sensing device designed to measure liquid height above a reference point in a tank relative to atmospheric pressure. The series supports applications involving compatible liquids, including air economizers, groundwater monitoring, environmental remediation, and water tanks.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series SBLTX features an accuracy of ±0.25% FS with a response time of 50 ms. The compensated temperature range is -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C). Process and ambient operating limits depend on the cable type: ETFE cables support -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C), while Polyurethane cables support -4 to 149°F (-20 to 65°C). The thermal effect is less than ±0.02% FS/°F.
Power requirements are specified as 10-28 VDC with a maximum loop resistance of 900 Ω at 30 VDC. The output signal is 4-20 mA DC, 2-wire. The pressure limit is rated at 2X FS. Mounting orientation requires the unit to be suspended in the tank below the level being measured.
Configuration Options
The Series SBLTX offers configurable options for measurement ranges and cable lengths, with additional configurations available upon consultation with the factory. The series supports a 316 SS housing with wetted materials including 316L SS body components, PVC bullet nose, Polyether polyurethane or ETFE cables, and Fluoroelastomer seals.

- Process Connections and Mounting Accessories: Includes options such as 1/4" NPT male (-P1), 1/4" NPT female (-P2), 1/4" BSPT male ISO 228 R (-P3), 1/4" BSPT female ISO 228 RC (-P4), and a 3/4" clean-out type (-P11).
- Electrical Connection: Wire pigtail with shielded, vented cable featuring a ventilation tube to compensate for atmospheric pressure changes.
The series is UL listed for use in Hazardous (Classified) Locations using Intrinsic Safety "ia" protection. Approvals include CE and UKCA.
