Supported Applications

The Omega Tube Fittings series addresses small tubing connection requirements in systems handling vacuum, pressure lines, fluids, and gases. These fittings are designed to solve common issues associated with plastic tubing connections.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The standard Polypropylene construction provides excellent chemical resistance for the documented media types. The series operates within a process temperature range of 0 to 110°C (32 to 230°F). A pressure rating of 7.0 bar (100 psi) applies to these fittings, with specific notes indicating that certain specifications do not apply to panel mount hose barb unions.

Configuration Options

The series encompasses a range of configurations including straights, tees, elbows, and miscellaneous components such as plugs and nipples. Fittings are available for plastic tubing sizes 1/16", 3/32", and 1/8".

• Hose Barb Unions: Available in straight (FT-HS), tee (FT-HT), and elbow (FT-HE) configurations. These are supplied in packages of 10.
• Panel Mount Hose Barb Unions: Designed to connect tubing through panels up to 1/4" thick. Models include FT-BHU22-02, FT-BHU22-04, and FT-BHU22-06 for various tubing IDs.
• Hose Barb x Thread Adapters: Combine hose barbs with a "10 to 32 thread" connection. Configurations include straights (FT-MS), tees (FT-MT), elbows (FT-ME), plugs (FT-MP), and nipples (FT-N32).

Materials:

• Polypropylene is the standard material for most fittings.
• Nylon is available on request as an alternative wetted material.
• Panel mount hose barb unions utilize Acetal with a nickel-plated brass nut.

Certifications:

• RoHS compliance varies by individual model number; verification is required via the manufacturer's website.

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes between standard hose barb unions and panel mount variants based on installation method. Standard fittings (FT-HS, FT-HT, FT-HE) are made of Polypropylene for general tubing connections. Panel Mount Hose Barb Unions (FT-BHU22 series) differ by incorporating an Acetal body and a nickel-plated brass nut to secure the fitting through panels up to 1/4" thick.

Threaded variants (FT-MS, FT-MT, FT-ME, FT-MP, FT-N32) integrate hose barbs with "10 to 32 thread" connections. These are offered in straight, tee, elbow, plug, and nipple styles to accommodate different routing needs.
