Supported Applications
The Omega M12TXSS series consists of stainless steel RTD temperature transmitters designed for compact installations where space is limited. These devices integrate a Pt100 sensor with an analog transmitter to provide direct process monitoring in industrial environments requiring secure, threaded mounting.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The series is engineered for a process temperature range of -50 to +120°C (-58 to 248°F). The electronic section operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to +80°C. Accuracy specifications include Class A sensor performance in accordance with IEC751 and a transmitter accuracy maximum of ±0.2°C or ±0.2% of span.
- Response time: <3.5 seconds for the 3 mm diameter probe (tested in water to IEC751, reaching 63.2% of thermal gap)
- Enclosure rating: IP65 and IP67 in accordance with IEC60529

Configuration Options
The M12TXSS series offers configurable parameters via the M12TX-CONFIG-SET kit, which includes a USB interface and software for Windows®. The transmitter supports input temperature range configuration between -50°C to 800°C (span), sensor break monitoring selection (upscale or downscale action), and measurement unit settings.
- Probe lengths: 13 mm (0.51") or 24 mm (0.94"); diameter is fixed at 3 mm (0.1")
- Housing material: Stainless steel AISI 316L with a thermowell construction
- Process connections: Standard 1/8" NPT male thread or G1/8 metric thread options
- Electrical output: 4 to 20 mA signal; permissible load is 700Ω @ 24 Vdc (calculated as R_load = (U - 8.5) / 0.022)
- Power supply: 8.5 + 32 Vdc with polarity protection
Key Product Differences
The series is distinguished by probe insertion length and thread standard, resulting in specific model configurations:
- M12TXSS-PT100-13MM variants: 13 mm (0.51") long with either 1/8" NPT or G1/8 threads
- M12TXSS-PT100-24MM variants: 24 mm (0.94") long with either 1/8" NPT or G1/8 threads
Factory default parameters are set to a range of 0+150°C for most models, though the M12TXSS series defaults to 0+100°C (32 to 212°F) with upscale sensor break indication (>21 mA). The device is non-isolated and features an M12 male connector output.
