Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series 3500 is a microprocessor-based smart differential pressure transmitter designed for flow measurement, level monitoring, filter or pump differential pressure applications, and critical process monitoring. The series measures compatible gases, steam, liquids, or vapors.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series 3500 delivers an accuracy of ±0.075% FS (@20°C) with a stability of ≤0.075% FSO/3 years and rangeability up to 25:1 turn down. Thermal effects are compensated by transmitter software, specified as <±0.05% span/10°C.
Operating temperature limits are -40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C) for ambient conditions and -40 to 400°F (-40 to 204°C) for process temperatures when configured with a diaphragm seal (-DS). The unit features an enclosure rating of NEMA 4X IP66/IP67. Response time is programmable from 16 to 480 ms, and damping time ranges from 0 to 60 s.
Configuration Options
The series supports a wide configuration envelope including differential pressure or level applications with flexible calibration via push buttons. Key configurable dimensions include:
- Housing Materials: Aluminum (-AL) or Stainless steel (-AS).
- Process Connections: 1/4˝ female NPT (-NF) or diaphragm seal selection (-DS). Diaphragm seals are available as S-P flush (direct mount high side, capillary mount both sides/high side) and S-T extended types.
- Electrical Connections: Packing gland M20x1.5 (-1), two 1/2˝ female NPT conduit (-2), or screw terminal options.
- Output Signal: 4-20 mA with HART Communication (rev.5.1).
- Hazardous Location Approvals: Configurable as ATEX Compliant and IECEx Compliant via -IS (intrinsically safe) or -FP (flameproof) suffixes.
The series supports wetted materials of 316L SS and FPM; with diaphragm seals, the material is 316L SS. Power requirements are 10-55 VDC, with loop resistance for operation from 0 to 1500 Ω.
