Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series RTD is a Precision Series Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) designed for temperature measurement applications requiring excellent accuracy and stability. The series utilizes industry standard 3-wire, 100 Ω sensors conforming to the DIN .00385 element standard.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series RTD operates across a process temperature range of -328 to 1202°F (-200 to 650°C). The sensor is rated for pressure limits up to 250 psig (17.2 bar). Accuracy specifications are defined as Class B with an accuracy value of 0.12%. The probe sheath and wetted materials consist of 304 Stainless Steel.
Configuration Options
The series offers configurable dimensions to accommodate specific installation requirements, including multiple sheath lengths and diameters.
- Sheath Lengths: Available in 6" (15 cm), 12" (30.5 cm), or 18" (46 cm) options.
- Diameters: Probes are offered with diameters of 1/8" and 1/4".
- Cable & Termination: Each probe includes a 30" (76 cm) extension cable terminating in #8 Spade terminals. The electrical connection provides three places, identified as Red Lead "+", White Lead "+".
Key Product Differences
Variants within the Series RTD are distinguished by sheath length and diameter combinations. Model numbers follow the format RTD-, with examples including RTD-686 (6", 1/8") and RTD-646 (6", 1/4"). The series encompasses configurations for all listed lengths paired with both available diameters.
