Supported Applications
The Omega RLC-80 Series consists of Reversible Temperature Liquid Crystal Strips designed for visual temperature indication. These labels feature an 11-point temperature range with a unique temperature bar design intended to display readings across specific Fahrenheit intervals.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series is offered in three distinct measurement ranges: 0 to 100 °F, 50 to 150 °F, and 100 to 220 °F. The physical dimensions for all models are identical at 12.7 W x 101.6 L x 0.25 mm Thick (0.5 x 4 x 0.01").
Color Indicating Systems
The liquid crystal technology utilizes a three-color system to indicate temperature status relative to the actual reading:
- BROWN: Bar is just above the actual reading.
- GREEN: Bar is the actual reading.
- BLUE: Bar is just below the actual reading.
The RLC-80-100/220 series exhibits a specific behavior where it turns black up to the next level of reading (e.g., 175°F will start to show black at 170°F).
Temperature Points by Model
The available temperature points for each model are:
- RLC-80-0/100(*): °F 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.
- RLC-80-50/150(*): °F 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150.
- RLC-80-100/220(*): °F 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 200, 220.
Configuration Options
The RLC-80 series is configurable by temperature range and package quantity. The model number guide follows the format RLC-80-<STARTING TEMP>/<ENDING TEMP>, with a suffix indicating the package size.
- Packaging Options: Insert "-10" for a package of 10 or "-30" for a package of 30.

Variants within the series are distinguished by their temperature range and quantity. For example, RLC-80-0/100-30 denotes an 11-point temperature label covering 0 to 100°F in a package of 30.
