Supported Applications
The Omega PR-17 series consists of miniature RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) connector-style probes designed for liquid temperature measurement. The measuring portion is configured to be inserted directly into a container or fixed in place within pipes, tanks, and vessels using optional compression fittings.
- Liquid temperature monitoring
- Insertion into containers
- Pipe, tank, and vessel installations with "BLRK" or "SSLK" compression fittings
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PR-17 series offers three distinct process temperature ranges depending on the model variant: -50 to 250°C (-58 to 482°F) for Low (PR-17L), -50 to 450°C (-58 to 842°F) for High (PR-17H), and -200 to 600°C (-328 to 1112°F) for Extreme (PR-17E). Accuracy is specified as Class A across the series, with specific ranges defined per model: PR-17L provides Class A; PR-17H offers Class A from -50 to 300°C (-58 to 572°F), or else Class B; and PR-17E delivers Class A from -100 to 450°C (-148 to 842°F), or else Class B.
Response time (T90) varies by model: the 1/8" diameter probe achieves 2.4 sec for PR-17L, 2.8 sec for PR-17H, and 9 sec for PR-17E. The series carries an IP67 ingress protection rating.
Mechanical Ratings

Key Product Differences
The series is differentiated by temperature range and model designation:
- PR-17L (Low): Process Temperature Range -50 to 250°C (-58 to 482°F); Accuracy Class A; Response time 2.4 sec.
- PR-17H (High): Process Temperature Range -50 to 450°C (-58 to 842°F); Accuracy Class A from -50 to 300°C (-58 to 572°F) or else Class B; Response time 2.8 sec.
- PR-17E (Extreme): Process Temperature Range -200 to 600°C (-328 to 1112°F); Accuracy Class A from -100 to 450°C (-148 to 842°F) or else Class B; Response time 9 sec.
All models share the same Mini Connector type, IP67 rating, and dimensional constraints (1/8" diameter).
