Supported Applications

The Omega OM-EL-GFX Series comprises portable data loggers designed for temperature, relative humidity, dew point, and thermocouple measurements. These units feature a high-contrast graphic LCD display with real-time graphing capabilities, allowing users to monitor conditions directly on the device or download historical data via Micro USB connectivity using included Windows software.

Documented measurement functions include:

• Temperature only: Internal sensor monitoring for general environmental tracking.
• Temperature & Humidity: Simultaneous recording of temperature and relative humidity, with calculated dew point values available on specific models (40 to 100% RH @ 25°C).
• Thermocouple Inputs: Support for Type K, J, and T thermocouples in single or dual-channel configurations.
• External Thermistor Probes: Dual channel support for external thermistor probes (OM-EL-GFX-DTP), including options with sealed glycol-filled chambers for temperature stabilization.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient range of -10 to 40°C (-14 to 104°F). Measurement ranges and accuracy vary by model configuration:

• OM-EL-GFX-1 (Temperature): Range -30 to +80°C (-22 to 176°F); Accuracy ±0.1°C (±0.2°F) typical, ±0.5°C (±1.0°F) maximum.
• OM-EL-GFX-2 & OM-EL-GFX-2-PLUS (Temp/Humidity): Temperature range -30 to +80°C (-22 to 176°F); Humidity 0 to 100% RH. Accuracy for temperature is ±0.5°C (±1.0°F) typical / ±2.0°C (±4.0°F) maximum on OM-EL-GFX-2, and improved accuracy of ±0.2°C (±0.4°F) typical / ±0.8°C (±1.6°F) maximum on OM-EL-GFX-2-PLUS.
• OM-EL-GFX-DTC & OM-EL-GFX-TC (Thermocouple): Supports Type K (-200 to +1350°C / -328 to +2462°F), Type J (-200 to +1190°C / -328 to +2174°F), and Type T (-200 to +390°C / -328 to +734°F). Accuracy is ±0.5°C (±0.9°F) typical.
• OM-EL-GFX-DTP (Thermistor): Range -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F); Resolution 0.1°C (0.2°F).

All models provide a memory capacity of 256,000 readings and are powered by two replaceable ½ AA 3.6V lithium batteries (Part No: OM-EL-BATT), offering approximately one year of battery life.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable options for housing protection, sensor inputs, and accessories to address specific logging requirements:

• Housing & Protection: Models OM-EL-GFX-1, OM-EL-GFX-2, and OM-EL-GFX-2-PLUS feature IP67 rugged construction when the USB cover is attached. Other models (DTC, TC, DTP) do not carry this rating.
• Display & Interface: All units include a 128x128 backlit graphic screen for tabular or graphical data display and three input buttons for operation. A Micro USB interface enables PC-based setup and data download; the unit can also be powered continuously via a wall adapter.
• Start/Stop Logic: Logging can initiate immediately, at a delayed time (e.g., 10:30:00), or upon reaching a specific temperature/RH threshold. Users can mute alarms and reset summary data on-device.
• Accessories & Probes:
• Included mounting clip with integrated magnet for wall or metal surface attachment.
• Spare thermistor probes (OM-EL-PROBE-TP-2-1M) and higher accuracy options (OM-EL-PROBE-TP-A-3M, OM-EL-PROBE-TP-A-GLY-3M) for the DTP model.
• Extension cables available in 1.5 m (5'), 5 m (16.5'), and 10 m (33') lengths for thermistor probes.
