Supported Applications

The Omega SCE single-door wall-mount enclosure series is designed to house electrical and electronic controls, instruments, and components. These enclosures are suitable for indoor or outdoor use where protection from dust, dirt, oil, and water is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

SCE enclosures meet NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13; UL Listed Type 4 and 12; CSA Type 4 and 12; and IEC 60529 IP 66 standards. Constructed from 0.075" Carbon Steel with continuously welded and ground smooth seams, the units feature no holes or knockouts in the base configuration. The finish is ANSI-61 recoatable gray.

Key performance features include an oil-resistant gasket and a flange trough collar around all sides of the door opening to ensure environmental sealing. Enclosures greater than 24 inches (610 mm) in height require a third clamp centered vertically on the door for secure closure.

The series supports sizes ranging from 12 x 24 inches to 72 x 36 inches. Model numbers follow the convention SCE-<HEIGHT><WIDTH><DEPTH>LP, where dimensions correspond to height, width, and depth in inches.

Variants within the series differ primarily by overall external dimensions (height, width, and depth) and internal sub-panel availability. The model number explicitly indicates these physical parameters; for example, SCE-161206LP denotes a 16" H x 12" W x 6" D enclosure.

Optional panels are available as accessories to expand the configurable interior layout of specific models. Sub-panel dimensions are measured from the inside of the door and vary according to the selected enclosure size.
