Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-SC series consists of NEMA Type 4 Screw Cover Enclosures designed for use as electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring boxes, instrument housings, and electrical control enclosures. These units provide protection from dust, oil, and water in industrial environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is constructed from 0.075" Carbon Steel with continuously welded and ground smooth seams; the design includes no holes or knockouts. The enclosure features captivated cover screws that thread into sealed wells, an oil-resistant gasket, and standoffs for mounting optional panels. A finish of ANSI-61 gray powder coating is applied inside and out over phosphatized surfaces.

Compliance ratings include NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13; UL Listed Type 4 and 12; CSA Type 4 and 12; and IEC 60529 IP 66. Overall dimensions range from a height of 4.00 to 16.00 inches, a width of 4.00 to 14.00 inches, and a depth of 3.00 to 10.00 inches.

Configuration Options

The series offers multiple size configurations identified by the model number guide SCE-<height><<width><<depth>SC (example: SCE-404SC). Available options and accessories include:

• Optional panels powder coated white
• Standoffs for mounting optional panels

Note that sub-panels must be ordered separately.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the SCE-screw series differ primarily by external dimensions and depth. The specification table lists specific model numbers corresponding to height, width, and depth combinations, such as SCE-404SC (4.00 x 4.00 x 3.00 inches) through SCE-1614SC (16.00 x 14.00 x 6.00 inches). Separate model numbers are provided for optional panels, such as SCE-6P4 and SCE-8P8, which correspond to specific enclosure sizes.
