Supported Applications
The Omega OS-MINIHUB is a multi-channel industrial infrared temperature monitoring system designed for non-contact measurement of surface temperatures on non-reflective materials. The series measures targets ranging from -20 to 1000°C (-4 to 1832°F) and supports applications involving food, paper, thick plastics, asphalt, paint, bulk materials, organic materials, as well as dirty, rusty, or oily surfaces.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The OS-MINIHUB sensors operate in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 120°C without cooling. The system provides an accuracy of ± 0.5% of reading or ± 1°C whichever is greater, with a repeatability of ± 0.5% of reading or ± 0.5°C whichever is greater. Response time (t90) is specified as 125 ms for the sensor head and up to 240 ms depending on configuration. The sensors feature an emissivity range of 0.2 to 1.0, a spectral range of 8 to 14 μm, and maintain accuracy unaffected by measurement distance in clean air.
Environmental ratings include IP65 for the sensor head and NEMA 4 (IP65) for system components. The units are constructed from stainless steel with an M16 x 1 mm pitch thread mounting interface. Power requirements are 12 to 24 V DC nominal, operating within a supply range of 6 - 28 V DC.

Configuration Options
The OS-MINIHUB series is configurable across sensor optics, mounting options, and system expansion modules. Three primary field-of-view models are available: the OS-MINIHUB-SN21 with 2:1 divergent optics, the OS-MINIHUB-SN201 with 20:1 divergent optics, and the OS-MINIHUB-SN801 featuring close-focus capabilities. All standard sensor heads include a 1 m cable, though longer cables are available to order by adding a suffix indicating length in whole meters.
System Expansion & Outputs
The system supports RS485 Modbus RTU communication as the primary interface (9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit). Additional output capabilities are available through optional modules:
- OS-MINIHUB-JB6: 6-channel junction box with IP65 rating.
- TSD600 / TSD600-MA: 6-channel touch screen display module supporting temperature display, alarms, and data logging via MicroSD card (MINI-MSD).
- Analog & Relay Outputs: Available via optional ICP DAS modules including the OS-MINIHUB-AO4 (4-channel voltage or current) and OS-MINIHUB-RM12 (12-channel relay output module).
Mounting & Protection Accessories
The series offers various mounting configurations to suit installation needs:
- Laser Sighting: OS210-LSTS tool, dual laser continuous sighting brackets (fixed or adjustable).
- Air Purge Collars: Available for SN21 and SN201/SN801 sensors to protect optics.
- Protective Windows & Brackets: Includes protective plastic windows, fixed mounting brackets (1-axis), and adjustable mounting brackets (2-axis).
Certifications & Calibration
The OS-MINIHUB is CE Marked and RoHS Compliant. It conforms to EN61326-1 and EN61326-2-3 standards for electrical equipment in industrial environments. A UKAS traceable calibration certificate (-CALA suffix) can be added to individual sensors.
Key Product Differences
The primary distinction within the OS-MINIHUB series lies in the optical configuration of the sensor heads, which determines the spot size and measurement distance. The SN21 model utilizes 2:1 divergent optics for close-range applications, while the SN201 employs 20:1 optics for longer-distance measurements with a smaller target area relative to distance. The SN801 is designated as "Close Focus" for specific near-field requirements.
System variations are defined by the integration of optional modules. While the sensor heads provide RS485 Modbus RTU output, full system functionality including local display and data logging requires the TSD600 touch screen interface module. Analog voltage/current outputs or relay alarms require separate AO4 or RM12 expansion cards connected via the junction box.
Power supply variations exist between components: sensor heads operate on 6 to 28 V DC, while the TSD600 display modules are available in versions accepting 10 to 30 Vdc (TSD600) or 240 Vac (TSD600-MA).
