Supported Applications

The Omega LCR Series consists of high-accuracy S-beam load cells designed for industrial force and load measurement applications. These sensors are engineered to provide precise data in environments requiring robust construction, offering capacities ranging from 25 to 10,000 lb (11 to 4536 kgf). The series is NIST Standard compliant and RoHS certified.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The LCR Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -18 to 71°C (0 to 150°F) with an IP55 enclosure rating. Electrical performance is defined by a nominal load resistance of 350 Ω and an output signal of 3 mV/V ±0.25%. The series supports excitation voltages up to 15 Vdc, with a standard operating voltage of 10 Vdc.

Accuracy specifications for the LCR Series include:

  • Linearity: ±0.03%
  • Hysteresis: ±0.05%
  • Repeatability: ±0.01%

The series features 5-point calibration and offers 0.25% interchangeability.

Configuration Options

Housing materials vary by capacity to balance weight and durability: aluminum is used for ranges up to 1,000 lb, while 17-4 PH stainless steel is utilized for capacities greater than 1,000 lb. Each unit includes a standard 6 m (20') 4-conductor 24 AWG jacketed cable.

Thread sizes and dimensions scale with capacity:

  • 25 to 200 lb ranges: Feature 1/4-28 UNF-2B threads, an overall height (H) of 49 mm (1.94 in), and a diameter (D) of 51 mm (2 in).
  • 250 to 3,000 lb ranges: Feature 1/2-20 UNF-2B threads, an overall height (H) of 61 mm (2.42 in), and a diameter (D) of 64 mm (2.5 in).
  • 5,000 to 10,000 lb ranges: Feature 3/4-16 UNF-2B threads, an overall height (H) of 87 mm (3.4 in), and a diameter (D) of 89 mm (3.5 in).

The series is compatible with DPiS meters for one-direction measurement only, as well as DP41-S and DP25B-S meters.

Key Product Differences

Model numbers follow the format LCR-CAPACITY, such as LCR-25 through LCR-3K for lower ranges, and LCR-5K to LCR-10K for higher capacities. Specific accessories are designated by capacity range:

  • Load Buttons (sold separately): Models 25–200 lb use the LBC-014; models 250–3,000 lb use the LBC-012; and models 5,000–10,000 lb use the LBC-034.
  • Rod Ends (sold separately): Models 25–200 lb pair with REC-014M; models 250–3,000 lb pair with REC-012M; and models 5,000–10,000 lb pair with REC-034M.

Each unit ships complete with a 5-point NIST-traceable calibration certificate and shunt data (59 k).
