The OM-CP-RHTEMP1000IS-A2 is an intrinsically safe temperature and humidity data logger designed for hazardous locations. Its 316 stainless steel enclosure, fast response and intrinsically safe certification make it suited to demanding, potentially explosive environments where both temperature and humidity must be documented.

Operating Conditions & Performance

Temperature is measured by a Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) and humidity by a Capacitive Polymer sensor over the following ranges:

  • Temperature: -40 °C to +80 °C (-40 °F to +176 °F)
  • Humidity: 0 %RH to 100 %RH (non-condensing)

Temperature resolution is 0.01 °C (0.018 °F) with a calibrated accuracy of ±0.5 °C (0 °C to ±50 °C), ±0.9 °F (32 °F to 122 °F). Humidity resolution is 0.1 %RH with a calibrated accuracy of ±3.0 %RH maximum. The specified accuracy range is 25 %RH to 75 %RH, +20 °C to +40 °C (68 °F to 104 °F) with a Hysteresis Error of 1 % Typical, 3 % Maximum.

The logger holds 32,768 Readings and records at a reading rate of 1 reading every second up to 1 reading every 24 hours, and may be used with a PC to monitor and record data in real time. It is powered by a Tadiran TL-2150 3.6V lithium battery, included and user replaceable in a non-hazardous location, with a battery life of 2 years typical at 15 minute reading rate. Data is date and time stamped in °C, °F, K, °R; %RH, mg/mL, Dew Point, and time accuracy is 16 seconds / month across -40 °C to 80 °C.

The enclosure is 316 Stainless Steel/Radel, measuring 1.67 in x 0.97 in dia. (42.3 mm x 24.6 mm dia.) and weighing 2.4 oz (68 g). The device is not rated for submersion; do not submerge this product to retain the IS rating. Approvals include CE, FM Class 3600, Rev. Jan 2018, FM Class 3610, Rev. Jan 2018, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60079-0:15 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60079-11:14.

Configuration Options

This series is a single logger configuration, the OM-CP-RHTEMP1000IS-A2, combining an RTD temperature channel and a Capacitive Polymer humidity channel in one intrinsically safe stainless steel housing. Its capabilities and workflow options include:

  • Programmable recording: software programmable immediate or delay start, up to 24 months in advance, with digital calibration through software and calibration date automatically recorded within the device.
  • Process analysis: Sterilization Units and Pasteurization Units lethality equations are available within the software.
  • Data retrieval: the OM-CP-IFC400 docking station connects a single logger by USB cable, while the OM-CP-IFC406 is a 6 Port, Multiplexer docking station for reading multiple loggers.
  • Battery: the OM-CP-BAT113 is the replacement 3.6 V lithium battery, user replaceable in a non-hazardous location.
