Supported Applications

The Omega TPN4 Series consists of flanged immersion heaters designed for custom size and shape configurations. These units are suitable for hot air dryers, dehumidifying dryers, heat exchange systems, water and water solutions, steam tables, and air heating applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The TPN4 series features tubular heating elements constructed from Incoloy® 800 sheath material. Elements are silver brazed or TIG welded to a flange cut from steel or stainless steel plate. The standard configuration includes a 2½" square x ¼" thick flange with (4) .410 Dia. holes on a 2-1/2" B.C., supplied with gasket GSK-111-101.

Available power ratings range from 1.0 KW to 5.0 KW, depending on the selected voltage and immersion length. The series supports electrical connections via 10-32 plated screw terminals or an optional ceramic terminal block for high temperature applications.

Configuration Options

The TPN4 Series is configurable across multiple parameters to meet specific engineering requirements:

• Voltage and Power: Models are available in 120V or 240V configurations with power ratings from 1.0 KW up to 5.0 KW.
• Immersion Lengths: Immersed lengths vary by model, ranging from 7⅜" (187 mm) for the 1.5 KW variant to 19" (483 mm) for the 5.0 KW variant.
• Flange Customization: While standard variants feature a square flange, custom engineered heaters can be designed with specific flange sizes, thicknesses, and shapes determined by the application.
• Materials: Wetted materials include Incoloy® 800 tubular heating elements. Flanges are available in steel or stainless steel plate.

To order custom engineered heaters, specifications must include wattage, voltage and phase; element immersion length; flange size and material; electrical enclosure (if required); element sheath material; and optional features.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the TPN4 series differ primarily by power rating, operating voltage, and resulting immersed length. For example:

• TPN01485 / TPN01486: 1.25 KW models available in 120V or 240V with an immersion length of 11" (279 mm).
• TPN01167: A 3.0 KW, 240 Vac model with a 12⅝" (313 mm) immersed length.
• TPN01287: The highest power variant listed at 5.0 KW, requiring an immersion length of 19" (483 mm).

The series supports both standard catalog configurations and custom-engineered designs where flange geometry and element parameters are tailored to specific installation needs.
