Supported Applications
The Omega HHEM-SD1 is a general-purpose handheld environment meter designed for measuring air speed, air temperature, humidity, and light level. The series supports simultaneous measurement of air (wind) speed and temperature, as well as air temperature and humidity using the included multi-function probe. With optional accessories, the device extends to surface temperature measurements via Type K or Type J thermocouples and sound level monitoring with a dedicated sound level probe.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The HHEM-SD1 features a 2.5-inch diagonal green backlit LCD for display of readings, including maximum and minimum values. The instrument automatically logs measurements to an SD memory card at sampling intervals settable from one second to one hour; it also supports manual datalogging and changing the storage location on the card. Data is output as Excel-compatible .xls files.
Measurement ranges include:
- Air speed: m/s, fpm, km/h, knots, mph
- Air temperature: °F or °C

- Light level: lux or ft-cd
The device includes an auto power-off function and accepts SD memory cards of up to 16 GB capacity.
Configuration Options
The HHEM-SD1 is powered by six "AA" Alkaline batteries or an optional 9VDC AC adapter compatible with 110V or 220V power supplies. The unit includes a carrying case, the multi-function probe (temperature, humidity, air speed, light level), and a 2 GB SD memory card.
