Supported Applications

The Omega AU-AMT Series consists of DIN rail mounted multi-functional digital timers designed for automation and control applications. The series provides timing functions including ON Delay, Cyclic OFF/ON, Signal ON/OFF, Interval, One Shot Output, Accumulative Delays, Impulse modes, and Leading/Trailing Edge impulses. A 3-digit LCD display indicates current run time information.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The AU-AMT Series operates with a universal power supply of 24 to 265 Vac/Vdc (50, 60Hz) and consumes up to 10 VA. The timing range spans from 0.1 second to 999 hours with a repeat accuracy of ±0.5%. Reset time is specified at 200 ms maximum.

Environmental limits include an operating temperature of -10 to 55°C (14 to 131°F) and storage temperature from -20 to 65°C (-4 to 149°F). The enclosure protection rating is IP30, while terminal protection is rated IP20. Mechanical specifications list a weight of 85 g (0.14 lb), overall dimensions of 17.5 mm width x 100 mm height x 89 mm depth (0.68" x 3.34" x 3.5"), and a tightening torque of 0.40 Nm (3.5 lb/inch).

Configuration Options

The series is configured for DIN rail mounting with screw terminals designated A1, B1, A2, 15, 16, 18, 25, and 28. Terminal wire size accommodates 0.3 to 2.5 mm² (22-14 AWG). Output contacts are rated for 8A @ 240 Vac/24 Vdc (resistive) with an electrical life of 10,000 switching cycles and a mechanical life of 2,000,000 switching cycles.

Available models differ by the number of timer functions and output contact configurations:

  • AU-AMT8 Models (8 Timer Functions):
  • AU-AMT8-S1: NO/NC contacts.
  • AU-AMT8-D2: 2 NO contacts.
  • AU-AMT12 Models (18 Timer Functions):
  • AU-AMT12-S1: NO/NC contacts.
  • AU-AMT12-D2: 2 NO contacts.

Approvals and certifications include CE, UL US LISTED, RoHS, and a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction between the AU-AMT8 and AU-AMT12 families is the number of available timer functions. The AU-AMT8 models support eight specific modes: ON Delay [A], Cyclic OFF/ON [B], Cyclic ON/OFF [C], Signal ON/OFF [D], Signal OFF Delay [E], Interval [F], Signal OFF/ON [G], and One Shot Output [H].

The AU-AMT12 models expand functionality to eighteen modes, adding Impulse on Energizing [3], Accumulative Delays (on Signal [4] and Inverted Signal [5]), Accumulative Impulse on Signal [6], Signal ON Delay [7], Inverted Signal ON Delay [8], Signal OFF Delays [9], Impulse ON/OFF [A], Signal OFF/ON [B], Leading Edge Impulses 1 & 2 [C, D], Trailing Edge Impulses 1 & 2 [E, F], Delay Impulse [G], and Inverted Signal ON Delay 2 [H].

Output contact variations are denoted by the suffix: "-S1" indicates NO/NC contacts, while "-D2" indicates two Normally Open (NO) contacts.
