Supported Applications

The Omega OM-CP-PROCESS101A Series is a battery-powered DC current data logger designed for measuring and recording direct current signals. As part of the NOMAD® family, these devices capture process variables at user-specified intervals ranging from once every 2 seconds to once every 12 hours. The series supports real-time monitoring and recording when connected to a PC via USB.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The OM-CP-PROCESS101A operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) and humidity levels from 0 to 95% RH non-condensing. The device features a nominal response time of 133 ms.

Performance specifications vary by input range as documented in the series data sheet:

  • ±20 mA Range (Measurement: -2 to 30 mA): Resolution is 0.5 µA with an accuracy of ±0.05% FSR and overload protection up to ±316 mA.
  • ±160 mA Range: Resolution is 5 µA with an accuracy of ±0.05% FSR and overload protection up to 1A.
  • ±3A Range: Resolution is 100 µA with an accuracy of ±0.15% FSR and overload protection up to 6A.

All ranges share a common input voltage range of 0 to 2.5V. The device includes memory wrap functionality, allowing it to continue logging after reaching its 1 million reading storage capacity.

Power and Storage

  • Data Retrieval: Requires the OM-CP-IFC200 interface cable and Windows software for programming, data download, and real-time monitoring. The device connects via USB; a serial port is not used on this specific series model.
  • Firmware & Security: Features field-upgradeable firmware and optional password protection.
