Supported Applications

The Omega OM-90 Series are compact, portable temperature and humidity data loggers designed for documenting environmental conditions during transport. The series is commonly used in applications involving the shipment of sensitive or fragile items, food products, animal/livestock, plants, chemicals, medicines, and organs.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The OM-90 Series measures temperature across a range of -20 °C to 75 °C (-4 °F to 167 °F) with a resolution of 0.01 °C. Temperature accuracy is specified as ±0.3 °C from 0 °C to 65 °C (32 °F to 149 °F), and ±0.4 °C otherwise. The OM-92 model extends capability to relative humidity, measuring 0 % to 100 % RH with a resolution of 0.02 % RH. Humidity accuracy is rated at ±3 % from 25 % to 80 % RH range; ±4 % RH otherwise.

Powered by a user-replaceable CR2032 battery, the logger provides up to 2 years of battery life while logging. The device features an internal real-time clock with an accuracy of 0.50 sec/day (~3 min/year), which continues to keep time when off and automatically syncs to a PC upon connection.

Configuration Options

The series supports flexible configuration for data acquisition, including multiple start modes: immediate start on disconnect from PC, delayed start (scheduled date/time), push-button start, or real-time logging. Recording intervals are software-selectable at 1 sec, 10 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 10 min, 30 min, and 1 hr.

Key configurable features include:

• Memory Capacity: The OM-92 model stores up to 65,520 temperature measurements and 65,520 humidity measurements with time stamps.
• Alarms & Indicators: High and low alarms for temperature and humidity are supported, indicated by a dedicated alarm LED. Status LEDs provide operational feedback.
• Device Identification: Each data logger can be assigned a unique 16-character name (Device ID).
• Data Interface: A USB-C port connects the unit to a PC for configuration, real-time viewing, and data extraction. The software is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7, 8 & 10 (32-bit and 64-bit) and exports data in CSV format.
• Bypass Mode: When connected to a PC via USB-C, the unit draws power from the host to conserve battery life.

The physical dimensions of the logger are 54 mm H x 35 mm W x 10 mm D (2.13 in x 1.38 in x 0.39 in), with a weight of 25 g (0.9 oz).
