Supported Applications

The Omega LDI Series Compact, LVIT Linear Position Sensors are designed for linear position measurement. The series identity is defined by its function as a displacement transducer within the Automation & Control category.

Operating Conditions & Performance

These sensors operate on an excitation voltage of 12-30 V DC, with a minimum requirement of 18 V DC for the 4-20 mA current output. The series provides analog outputs in two configurations: 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA. A critical operational constraint is that the 4-20 mA DC output utilizes 3-wire sourcing and must not be connected to a 2-wire loop-powered system.

Field programmability allows calibration ranges to be set within specific limits: 0-20% around zero or 80-100% around full range. The default setting for the output is 0-10 VDC and 4-20 mA. Load resistance options are available at 250 Ohms or 500 Ohms.

Electrical Connections

The series supports two electrical connection methods: a 4-conductor cable or a PTO2-10 6-pin connector. Pin assignments and conductor colors are defined as follows:

  • Red (Pin E): + Power Input, 12-30 V DC (min. 18 V DC for 4 - 20 mA current output)
  • Black (Pin D): Common Ground
  • Green (Pin A): Analog DC Output: 0 -10 V or 4 - 20 mA
  • White (Pin B): Field Programmability (cal)

Safety and Compliance

The series carries CE approval. A specific warning states that these products are not designed for use in, and should not be used for, human applications.

Configuration Options

The LDI-G19 series is offered with multiple stroke lengths indicated by the model number suffixes (e.g., 006, 013, 025, 050, 075, 100). Output signal types are configurable between voltage and current modes. The sensors feature field programmability for calibration adjustments.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the LDI-G19 series differ primarily by stroke length and output configuration codes (A210S vs A220S). All variants share the same electrical connection options, power requirements, and field programmability ranges as documented in the instruction sheet.
