Supported Applications
The Omega BTTF Series consists of Extruder RTD Probes with bayonet fittings, designed for plastic process machinery. These probes feature a precision 100 Ω Class 'B' thin film DIN platinum element and are engineered to secure insertion into bayonet-style ports using a locking cap and spring lock mechanism.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series utilizes Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) technology with an accuracy of ±0.30°C @ 0°C, meeting IEC CLASS B standards. The standard continuous operating temperature range extends to 260°C (500°F). An optional cable rated for 480°C (900°F) is available for higher-temperature service requirements.
The probe sheath has a diameter of 4.75 mm (3/8") and is constructed from 304 Stainless Steel. Electrical connections follow a 3-Wire Construction color-coded Red/Red/White per IE/ASTM-E-230 standards.
Configuration Options
The BTTF series offers configurable dimensions across bend style, insertion length ("A" dimension), cable length, and termination type. Standard configurations include a 1.5 m (60") flexible armored cable, with other lengths available upon specification.
- Bend Configuration: Available in Straight or 90° Bend assemblies.
- Insertion Lengths ("A"): Standard options include 2-1/4 inch and 3-1/2 inch lengths; other "A" dimensions are available with additional cost per inch over the standard length.
- Cable Length: Standard is 60 inches. Custom lengths can be specified by modifying the model number, incurring an additional cost per foot over 5 feet (60").
- Termination Options: Probes are offered with Spade Lugs or OTP Connector terminations.
- Cable Construction: #26 AWG stranded nickel-plated copper, PFA insulated, and PFA jacketed cable.
Threaded fittings and adaptors for insertion and pipe clamp use are also available as options. Adaptors include various thread sizes such as 1/8-27 NPT and 1/8-24 with lengths ranging from 7/8 to 2 1/2 inches.

- Bend Codes: "000" indicates No Bend (Straight), while "090" indicates a 90° Bend.
