Supported Applications
The OM-CP-HITEMP140 is a rugged, high precision temperature data logger designed for use in harsh environments. It is a submersible stainless steel device capable of withstanding temperatures up to 140°C (284°F), with an accuracy of ±0.1°C (0.18°F) over its operating range, and it can store up to 32,700 readings.
With a rigid external probe and a submersible IP68 body, the logger is a natural fit for autoclave verification and mapping, sterilization studies, and other wet or high-temperature processes where the recorder must be placed directly in the load.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The logger uses a 100Ω Platinum RTD, measuring -40 to 140°C (-40 to 284°F) at the body and -200 to 260°C (-328 to 500°F) at the probe, with a resolution of 0.01°C (0.02°F) and a calibrated accuracy of ±0.1°C (±0.18°F) [20 to 140°C (68 to 284°F)].

The logger body measures 48 H x 25 mm D (1.9 x 0.97") in 316 stainless steel and weighs 120 g (4.2 oz). Start modes include software programmable immediate start and delay start up to eighteen months in advance, calibration is performed digitally through software, and the calibration date is automatically recorded within the device. The logger carries CE with optional NIST calibration and requires the OM-CP-IFC400 USB docking station for operation.
Configuration Options
The series shares one logger body, sensor, and memory across every model; the models differ in the length of the rigid external probe and in whether a thermal shield is fitted.
Probe length
The base OM-CP-HITEMP140 carries a 50 mm (2") probe. Shorter and longer options are offered: the OM-CP-HITEMP140-1 uses a 25 mm (1") probe, the OM-CP-HITEMP140-5.25 uses a 131 mm (5.25") probe, and the OM-CP-HITEMP140-7 uses a 175 mm (7") probe. Longer probes reach deeper into a load or vessel while the logger body stays outside the hottest zone.
Thermal shield (TSK)
The TSK configurations enclose the logger in a PTFE thermal shield rated for a time-limited -200 to 250°C (-328 to 482°F) operating environment. The shield measures 110 x 51 mm dia. (4.3 x 2.0") and weighs 274 g (9.7 oz) not including the data logger, extending the survivable ambient exposure of the selected probe length.
