Series-100AV
Air Velocity & Pressure Measurement Kit w/ Manometer & Pitot Tube
- Plastic Body - A 1" thick solid acrylic block, virtually unbreakable. It isstable and free of the danger of distortion.
- Drilled Bore - Permanently free of bends - never requires recalibration due to distortion.
- Reflective Chrome Finish Scales - Easily eliminates parallax errors in reading. Adjustable, with thumbscrew locking for easy zeroing. (Model 125 AV uses screw plunger to adjust zero setting).
- Red Gage Fluid - .826 specific gravity. Forms a well-shaped, easy-to-read meniscus - the result of high wetability.
- Leveling Adjustment - Screw allows quick, accurate leveling. Integral ground glass bubble level provides ready reference.

Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series 100 AV Durablock® Air Velocity Gage Kits are designed to measure air velocity, static pressure, vacuum, and differential pressure. The series supports applications including furnace draft measurement and air filter pressure drop assessment.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The kits accommodate total pressures up to 100 psig (6.89 bar) and temperatures up to 150°F (65.6°C). The gages are machined to tolerances of ±0.002".
- Model 102-AV: Pressure range 0-2.0 inches of water; velocity range 400–5500 feet per minute with minor scale divisions of .02 and a scale length of 8-1/4".
- Model 115-AV: Pressure range 0-.25 inches of water (noted as .05-0-.25 in specifications); velocity range 400–2000 feet per minute with minor scale divisions of .005 and a scale length of 6".
For accuracy of ±2% in laboratory applications, the duct diameter must be 4" (8.64 mm) or greater. Accurate traverse requires smooth straight duct sections 10 diameters in length with an egg crate type straightener provided upstream from the Pitot tube.
Air velocity indications are calibrated for dry air at 70°F (21.3°C), 29.9" Barometric Pressure, and a resulting density of .0755 lb/cu. ft. Corrections may be based on provided formulas for other conditions.
Configuration Options
The series includes Models 102-AV and 115-AV housed in solid acrylic plastic (1" thick) with reflective chrome finish scales adjustable via thumbscrew locking. Each kit contains a stainless steel Pitot tube, two 9' lengths of rubber tubing with connectors, extra red gage fluid (826 specific gravity), magnetic mounting clips, an air velocity calculator slide rule, instruction card H-7, bulletin H-11, and a carrying case.
- Model Dimensions:
Model 102-AV: A = 8-1/4", B = 4-5/16". Model 115-AV: A = 9-1/2", B = 3-1/16".
- Carrying Case Dimensions:
Both models utilize a carrying case measuring 13-1/2 X 10 X 2-1/2 inches. The Pitot tube included is Model 166-12 with a length of 12".
Key Product Differences
The primary distinction between the available models lies in their measurement ranges and scale resolutions tailored for different velocity profiles. Model 102-AV covers higher velocities (400–5500 feet per minute) with a pressure range of 0-2.0 inches of water, while Model 115-AV is configured for lower velocities (400–2000 feet per minute) and finer resolution on the low-pressure scale (.005 minor divisions).
Design features common to both include a plastic body made from a 1" thick solid acrylic block, drilled bores permanently free of bends, leveling adjustment with an integral ground glass bubble level, and red gage fluid. Note that Model 125 AV uses a screw plunger to adjust zero setting; this feature is not applicable to Models 102-AV or 115-AV.
Use only Dwyer gage fluid with these instruments. Clean the units with mild soap and water only, as other fluids, solvents, or cleaning agents may damage the gage.
