Supported Applications

The Omega HH800 Series comprises handheld digital thermometers and data loggers designed for high-accuracy temperature measurement. The series supports Type J, K, T, E, R, S, and N thermocouples as well as Pt100 RTD inputs (0.00385/0.003926). Models feature auto-power off, backlighting, data hold, MAX/MIN/AVG recording, relative mode, and cold junction compensation.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 50°C at <70% RH. Storage is specified for -20°C to 60°C with battery removed (or up to 80% RH). Measurement rates range from 1 sample/second on standard models to 2.5 times/second on specific configurations.

Accuracy varies by model and input type:

• HH800A / HH801A (Type J/K): ±(0.1% rdg + 1°C) from -200 to 1372°C; ±(0.1% rdg + 2°F) from -328 to 1999°F.
• HH801B (Type J/K/T/E): ±(0.1%rdg + 1°C) on -60 to 1372°C; ±(0.1%rdg + 2°C) on -60 to -220°C.
• HH802U / HH802W (Type J/K): High accuracy of ±(0.05% rdg + 0.3°C) from -50 to 1370°C; ±(0.05% rdg + 0.6°F) from -58 to 2498°F.
• HH804U / HH804W (Pt100 RTD): ±(0.05% rdg + 0.2°C); ranges include -200 to 800°C for 0.00385 alpha.
• HH806 Series: High accuracy of ±(0.05% rdg) across Type K/J/T/E/R/S/N inputs, with specific offsets such as +2°C on Type R/S from 0 to 1767°C.

All models include a NIST-Traceable Calibration Certificate and carry CE approval (UKCA noted for manual scope). Power is supplied by four 1.5V "AAA" batteries, with low battery indication on the LCD display.

Configuration Options

The HH800 Series offers a broad envelope of configurations to address specific measurement and connectivity needs:

• Sensor Inputs: Supports Type J, K, T, E (standard), plus R, S, N on high-accuracy models. Pt100 RTD inputs are available via 4-pin mini DIN plug.
• Channel Count & Display: Configurations include single-channel displays (HH800A/HH801A) and dual-input units with triple-display capabilities for elapsed time or data logging status (HH802, HH806).
• Data Logging: Models range from no storage to 120 samples on demand. The HH806 series offers advanced logging up to 16,000 samples in logging mode plus 256 on-demand records.
• Connectivity: Options include USB ports for PC data transfer (HH802U, HH804U, HH806AU) and wireless interfaces operating at USA 900 MHz or European 868.0 to 868.6 MHz frequencies with an approximate range of 25 m (75').
• Physical Protection: A protective rubber boot is included for all models.

Accessories & Software

• Software: Windows software and USB cable (HH800-SW) or wireless receiver kits (HH800W-RSW / HH800WE-RSW) enable real-time data logging.

Key Product Differences

The series is segmented by input type, channel count, and data handling capabilities:

• HH800A / HH801A: Single-channel (HH800A) or dual-input (HH801A) units for Type J/K thermocouples with 120-sample storage.
• HH801B: Dual input supporting Types J, K, T, and E without data logging capability; features a single 3½ digit display per channel.
• HH802U / HH802W: High-accuracy dual-channel units for Type J/K. The U model includes USB connectivity; the W model offers wireless transmission (900 MHz).
• HH804 Series: Dedicated Pt100 RTD meters with 4-pin mini DIN connections, available in standard (HH804), USB (HH804U), and Wireless (HH804W) versions.
• HH806 Series: Triple-display data loggers supporting Types J/K/T/E/R/S/N. Models include HH806AU/HH806AW with 16,000-sample logging capacity and USB/Wireless options; the standard HH806W offers reduced storage (128 on demand + 1024 in logging mode).
