Will this unit draw current when the ambient temp. is above freezing, and no protection is required?

Asked by: Roger45
Thank you for your inquiry Roger45. No matter what you set the thermostat to (10 to 218°C (50 to 425°F)), the heater will always draw current to maintain the set temperature.

Does this product require any controller to control the voltage or would it be safe to plug into a typical outlet? What does this product require that is not shown here? Thanks

Asked by: Tak51
The HTWAT series heating tape with built-in thermostat can be plugged into a standard 120 volt outlet directly. A separate controller is not needed as this heater includes an adjustable thermostat to control the temperature.
